Burn Party Newb

So I've been playing on and off. I believe the last time I said I got my DRG to 24. I have conditions to when I play: my fiancé is at work or he's off playing Phantasy Star. Any other time is not do-able. We are planning for a wedding. However, most of the planning will start up in January.

So the last time I got on I was soloing in Battalia Downs. I never got to finish my page because I couldn't find any flies. I was also selling gear in Jeuno. My brother, Kirinkage, has returned to the game. He has taken up doing burn parties. So he encouraged me to join one. I hopped on and made my way to Gusgen Mines after a battle with my computer.

I have never been in a burn party before. However, this new type of party includes some new features that the game provides. You choose a page from the FOV book and set it to repeat. Then you join a party, more like alliance, and you level sync to the lowest person. You fight and fight and don't realize when you level. By time I had to get off, I gained 4 levels. I was on for maybe 2 hours and I'm being generous with that time.

I had died twice in this party. 1 time because I was being attacked and a Mage couldn't toggle to me in time. I died again while I was resting up from being killed. This little Taru got aggro'd. Instead of running to DD's for help, he ran right towards the rest of he mages, in which I was healing behind. Smart move. Anyway, at some point I was given lead to my party in the alliance. I then had to deal with idiots who don't listen.

Overall the party was successful. I will do this again, definitely. Getting subjobs up and getting levels on main jobs. I will have to skill up somewhere after though. You don't get skill ups in Burn parties unfortunately, unless you are the person being sync'd to. I may want to do a raid in level 30 areas. That may be more fruitful. Let's see if I can make that happen when I do hit 30. The problem is where can we do that? I don't know a level 30 hideyhole. Maybe top floor Garlaige. We'll see.

A Love Story Born from FFXI

As my followers know, I was a big adventurer in Vana'diel for 2 to 3 years. During my years of dedicated time, I have developed some friendships. I really didn't try to develop any enemies. I did have one, but that was over something stupid. I put no energy in it. The group of people I hung around were fun and were down to help.

I believe a year & a half into my adventures, this player showed up in my linkshell. He seemed ok. Hung out with him on events. He even was in my Dynamis shell. I remember him helping me get a RDM testimony from the temple in Kazaam from some pots. I even helped him and his friend in a Tunnel fighting some cats for a NIN item. What is his name? Lordkaosu.

What made LK stand out to me, brightly, was one day when I just logged onto game, said hello to linkshell, he immediately sent me a tell asking me if I broke up with a fellow LS member. This was like the first time, well second time, that someone assumed I dated someone on the game. I had a rule about dating people on the game. Wasn't going to happen. But I understood where LK was coming from. The other LS member had "I <3 TK" in his Bazaar comment when you checked him. He had changed it to "I <3 Kitty".

This is when I really started to talk to LK. He piqued my interest. We talked on AIM a lot. We graduated to some Skyping. Then graduated to talking on the phone. When were were getting to know each other, he was going thru a hard time. I wasn't thinking of him in any way other than a best friend. I felt close to him. We decided on a camping trip together but instead we came up with a different plan. He came to Las Vegas and stayed with me and my dad. Then we went to New Mexico and we stayed with his parents then at a hotel.

That trip turned our friendship into more. I didn't expect this at all. It was not planned. He is the 1st guy I've ever met on a video game. Soon after he moved to NY with me. And now we are engaged and planning our wedding in 9 months. This must be an act of fate or something. I never thought I'd find the "one" in Vana'diel, but I owe the game my allegiance for having me meet my future husband.

FFXI in my world is the best game ever. To bad I can't play it regularly as I used to. On to my new adventure; planning my wedding.

Couple of Days Back

So I was able to play twice the past week. I was able to level in the Dunes. Day one I was able to duo with my old buddy Stormghost. We were in the Dunes together. He was a level higher than me but I wasn't too concerned. I made level 23. We did a page of FOV. They fixed FOV that you can set a page to autorenew. That is cool. I had to log half way too 24. I was in Charisma. Apparently half of my friends are in here. Day two I solo'd in the Dunes. I began to remember names if other friends. I found Rethem. We got to talking while I was soloing. He told me about the shell breaking up and then he told me he was in Crazyone's shell. By time he did, I had leveled to 24 and was in Jeuno gear hunting. I decided to try a page in Battalia Downs. That place is overrun by gobs and tigers. I was to kill 5 straplings and 3 mayflies. I was doing the straplings, but couldn't find any mayflies and I didn't want to run the risk of aggro. While out Minibasta came and gave me a pearl of ProclaimedInsanity. I had the pearl still. After all, it used to be my dynamis shell. Half if my friends are in this shell too. So I guess I'll be popping into both shells ocassionally. It was nice to see that people are still playing. I feel like such a newbie to game. A lot has changed apparently. I'm just working to pass limit break 5: Maat. I've been gone way too long and way too rusty to fight the old man on RDM. 36 more levels to go on DRG. I may give up on DRG and just do RDM. We'll see. I'm Back Once Again

I logged on yesterday since May. I found my linkshell was abandoned. So I started saying hello to couple people on my friend's list. Kakida my faithful friend gave me a pearl to his linkshell. So I'm now part of Charisma. I spoke to another old friend Lordgrim. He offered me a pearl for another LS too, but we couldn't meet up.

So what did I accomplish? I op'd to the Dunes and did a page from FOV book. Had to kill 5 flies and 5 sheep. Mind you I'm still leveling DRG. In middle of my run I leveled to 22. 38 more levels to go. Yay. I also finished my page.

At this point my boyfriend finished playing his game so I logged off. But at least I accomplished something fo the time I was on.

What I did notice was how dead the old places are. There were only 4 of us in the Dunes. I also only saw 5 people in Aht Urgghan. Then I heard Beseoge was popping off so that may be why.

I hope to play a lot more. I will probably play when my boyfriend's playing his game or when he's at work. This all depends if I don't have work from a client to do.

You may or may not believe this, but I play FFXI a lot.

I know. You're shocked.

The Thing is I don't think you quite understand how much I play this game. I don't think you, a perfectly reasonable, normal person, can fathom just how much time I spend playing.

A rational brain probably can't even perceive it.

I have leveled so many characters, a countless legion of warriors and mages spread across all of the races.

Okay, maybe not countless. There have been like 16 or 17 of them.

Still, that's a lot of freaking characters.

Some of them started out as crafting mules that I leveled up enough to farm their own materials.

Some of them started out as a flicker of thought in a moment of boredom.

One started out just so I could see what my main would have looked like as a chick.

Answer: hot.

I'm not sure I should be proud of that.

I am proud, but I'm not sure I should be.

Anyway, one of the side effects of this process is that I have spent an exorbitant (spelled that correctly on the second try) amount of time playing most of the jobs available in FFXI.

Most of you know my main job is Dragoon. All of my characters eventually end up spending some part of their career as a Dragoon.

But not their entire career.

No, to add some spice to the mix, I like to mix up my job classes now and again, just to see how the other half lives.

Or the other 95%.

I've dabbled in the magery (totally made that one up) from time to time and I must admit I have spent a hell of a lot of time playing as a Red Mage.

This has everything to do with their versatility and absolutely nothing to do with their awesome freaking pimp hat.

Absolutely nothing.

Nothing at all.

During my time playing Red Mage and leveling several characters as Red Mages, I can come to an interesting conclusion: I am not an expert at being a Red Mage.

Honestly, the job is so freaking complex. It takes a massive attention to timing and detail, and requires a lot of focus.

I love Dragoon, but that's like hit attack, hit jump, go make a sandwich. You come back, thing is dead.

Boom, exp.

Also, boom, sandwich.

When I'm playing Red Mage, I just feel like there's too much shit to do. You're always watching this timer and watching that guy's mp.

Don't get me wrong. I kick freaking ass as a Red Mage. I don't do this shit half-assed. When I'm in the pimp suit, I'm always bringing my A game.

But I still don't conisder myself an expert. Even after so much experience.

Funny story: Do you know who is an expert at being a Red Mage?

EVERY OTHER FREAKING PLAYER IN THE GAME!

Never play Red Mage before? Have a barely passing knowledge of the job mechanics? Have you accidentally visited a Red Mage forum? Did you own a Brady Guide?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are APPARENTLY an freaking expert at being a Red Mage.

I know this because every time I play Red Mage, EVERY FREAKING TIME, I am surrounded by people who want to explain to me how I should play my job.

Oh, you need a refresh now? Thanks for telling me. I have no way of figuring that shit out. They should really put a little bar underneath your hp that could go up when you have refresh on.

I will speak to the devs about that.

You know, after I HOP IN MY TIME MACHINE.

When exactly did the logic train derail and kill everyone on board here? When did it become normal practice to explain to other players how to play their job?

You don't see people giving Paladins helpful F&%@ing hints.

Hey, Dark Knight. You should try missing less.

You don't do that. You join a party and you assume everyone knows how to do their freaking job. You assume the tank is going to keep hate. You assume the healer is going to keep you up. You assume the melees are going to lay down damage.

Oh, wait. There's a Red Mage in your party. You better tell that bastard what to do.

What the hell is that?

Red Mages are an integral part to many party dynamics and provide an important resource to any group.

They are not the retarded kid next door that needs to be reminded to wipe his ass before he gets on the little yellow bus.

We got this. We are well in control of the situation.

If you don't have refresh for three or four seconds, maybe we're busy doing something. Maybe we're doing something else and you can wait.

Hold your breath, too. That helps.

Either you'll calm down or you will pass the F&%@ out and won't be able to type any more.

I was in a party earlier and this one guy, a WAR/NIN, just wouldn't shut the F&%@ up. The whole time we were in a party together, all he did was bitch.

HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE MP AND/OR REQUIRE REFRESH.

All he did was tell me how to do my own job better. He questioned my timing, my refresh cycle order, everything.

He even questioned my equipment.

At least, I assume he did. It was hard to tell after I fed him to Jormy, booted him off the server, and then permabanned his account.

I like to imagine that he then took his own life.

I have no way of verifying that, but it makes me smile.

Did I Say I Was Back?

Life has derailed my comeback. My mother has come back to town for 3 weeks. When she leaves, I leave for vacation. I won't be back until June.

Just funny how things come up to make you stray from the path. See you again. I'll be nice and tanned when you do.

Day 2 of My Journey Back

So I get on today to try and level DRG some more. I have my gear on and ready when I logged on. I head to Buburimu to take on some pages. I chose page 1, kill Syvesteres and Mighty Rerab. I attack a Rerab and I get attacked by a gob. Needless to say, even though I disengaged and ran, I still died as I was about to zone.

At this point, I decided to start cooking. It takes a while to get unweakened. I came back when I was done with chopping up my food. I got to talk to Frizzlefry and people in my main LS. I did so as I was fighting. There was a guy in the zone Loshinoloi who helped kill off the gobs. Yay for me.

The thing that made me laugh in LS was this guy named Gelfing. Just because my char is lowlevel, he thought I was a newbie. He's talking to me as if I'm just starting out the game, lol. Granted I may have forgotten a thing or 2 in my absence, but I'm no newb. He didn't even notice that I'm a sackholder or my nation rank is too high for my level. Lol. Arisonsbaby had to tell him to stop calling me Tiger and that I'm known as TK. He even noticed I leveled and congratulated me. He's trying to be encouraging I know, but it's too darn funny.

A lot of old friends are still on game and some are gone. I do have to eliminate some friends off of my list, like Clinpachi. Whatever went down in the dyna shell while I was gone is his business and none of mine. I don't need to feel the brunt of it. People who are not playing anymore that were cool is Zannon. He stopped playing after the dyna fiasco. Oh well. Frizzle said the game has changed a lot. I'm sure it has and will continue to do so. Especially after the world merge on May 10th.

By end of my time on the game, I gained 2 levels and am now 18. 42 levels to go.

Guess What??.... I'm Back!!!!

I'm signed on game for first time in a while tonight. It's was a great experience. I saw a lot of friends still on the game. That was a great to see.

As I stated in a previous post, I'm leveling DRG to 60 or 65 to beat Maat. I don't want to do the RDM fight again. So I get on to find my macros missing. I had to back out to restore them from the server. Thank goodness they were still there.

Thus began a desperate search for gear. I changed from RDM to DRG to find I need earrings, body, hands & weapon. So I run to AH in Windy, NOTHING. I go and switch to SMN so I could go to Jeuno easily. I had to be reminded how to OP warp. I go thru Quifm to get to Jeuno.

In Qufim, I found my first asshole. I get a tell & invite for me to help this person Skill Up. It was not a question, but a demand. I ignored him. I hope I don't get any more assholes, but then again, the World Merge is happening soon & we will get a shitload of people from Diabolos server. Anyway I digress. I make it to Jeuno AH and there's nothing on AH there either. WTF? Has the economy gone to hell? I did get a pair of gloves anyhow.

I sent a ls message to borrow some gear. Cyricbellheart, had a huge heart & lent me a weapon & body. I meet him in Windy and we decide to duo in Tahrongi. We only did one page. He was level 11 and leveled twice. I leveled myself too. I didn't find out until I quit for the evening. 44 more levels to go. I have a lot to work on. Duoing with Cyric was a lot of fun.

A Little Change to This Blog

I have made a slight change to the side panel of my blog. This blog will forever be my FFXI blog & will return to the game the latter half of April. However, I do play a lot of games on my iPhone, PS3 and Xbox. These games are quick easy games. Not like FFXI that takes at least 3 hours to play at one sitting.

So I was suggested to do reviews on some of the games that I play or have played. The change I made in this blog is the box that used to say "Status Updates" is now called "Gaming Updates". For those who may be interested in the other games you can click on the link and be taken to the blog post for the game.

World Merge March 26th

So Siren will be receiving residents from Diabolos server. I'm not sure if I like that. I've heard Diabolos has a ton of assholes. But that's just hearsay. Hopefully we get some decent people.

I believe I shall return to Vana'diel after Tax season is complete. I do miss the game.

WHM: Well anyways we're going to the Lion Springs Bar in South San D' Oria.

PLD: I danced there once.

PLD: It was for a quest, don't look at me that way.

PLD: Well be careful, he's a Dark Knight, he's probably into all sorts of weird stuff, like cutting himself, and you. He'll probably try to bind you up or something.

WHM: DRK's don't get bind.

PLD: What if he's subbing rdm?

WHM: I doubt it'd land, but I'd just repose and tele the holla outta there. Maybe. Hmmm.

WHM: Well I'm gonna go on now, I'll see you later!

PLD: Atleast cast blink on yourself, sub nin or something!

WHM: So then no sooner did I repose the Eruca, our nin slapped it with his Katana, waking it up. He claims he didn't see the spell go off but I think he just wanted to try to solo it.

DRK: I see, so tell me, have you ever found it odd that WHMs use hammers as a weapon? That's gotta hurt more than my scythe. Ironic isn't it? You heal, yet your weapon has to inflict the most excruciating pain to your foes, breaking them from the inside.

WHM: That's quite an interesting way to put it. I hadn't thought about it like that, it's rare that I get to DD though, I always have cure you guys!

DRK: Yes, as a DRK, I must confess my appreciation of you, and your job, I would not have killed even a tenth of the mobs I've killed without your ever diligent support. Still I can sense you yearn for the spilling of blood.

WHM: Heheehe, don't be silly, I heal, I don't kill...

DRK: More hollow words have never been spoken m'lady, You see, I have an abyssite of Discernment, so I can tell what you're really thinking.

WHM: OMG, are you serious?

DRK: No, but, you should've seen the look on your face.

WHM: Well, ok ok, maybe just a little... I admit, whenever I sub nin, and I put that second hammer in my hands, I feel like bashing the tar out of stuff. Its odd, but I feel like I can take on anything. I mean within reason. I secretly went out and got Reverend mail one day with a group of friends, and never told anyone outside that party.

DRK: Hmmm. The plot thickens...

WHM: Oh stop /Blush.

They both sip their ales.

WHM: So, whats with so many DRK subbing nin these days? Don't you guys love /sam?

DRK: Funny you should ask. A friend of mine told me how good his Vorpal Blade was in comparison to Guillotine, and I scoffed. But hey, with all these Over Powered Crit + and STR+ Atmas out there, I figured, why not.

Once I saw it first hand, I was impressed, so I decided to make a sword build. Sure enough I was easilly trumping my guillotine by 1000-1500 each time, so naturally... Also /nin has so much survivability, and with magian trials I made a... My dear, I'm boring you aren't I? Come, let us talk some about something a little less rougeish.

WHM: Don't be silly, I am totally curious about this, because well, I feel its time to dust off the ole Reverend mail. /grin.

DRK: Hmmm, you know miss WHM, you strike me as one who secretly has a WAR or something up your sleeve.

WHM: /Blush.

WHM: Yeah, I also noticed you subbed rdm tonight.

DRK: /Blush. Yeah I uh was soloing something earlier.

So I am at the point where I need to take a break from the game. I will contimue to pay for the service. With my life being so crazy it's hard to get on. I don't want my dyna shell think I'm just ditching them. I'm not. I will miss them. To all my friends on game, I will see you soon. Some time in the new year.

Damn It! Almost Had Him!!!!

So after a long time away from the game, the first thing I do when I get on, fight Maat. I was relaxed and ready. So I run off to see the old man. Everything was working like clockwork. He was staying slept. I even slept his chainspell. I got him down below 50%. Slept him, silenced him and then I put on my Chainspell. Of course he woke up and bind wore off.Then silence did, but I was still nuking him. He had put on a strong poison. So I tried sleeping him but he kept interrupting. So it was down to who was gonna die first! It was me due to poison. I couldn't take an anecdote nor cast a spell. But he was so close to death. I felt cheated. I so felt today was the day. So I was trying to get another testimony in Delkfutt Tower. Friend newly named Aukai (can't tell you his previous name because he'd like to play drama free) came to help. I grabbed a pot. We were going okay until he aggro'd 2 gigas. So in the end I was fighting pot alone and I died. I could've taken the pot if I didn't run out of MP. I had to HP and return. I put on RR and went to raise Aukai. I decided to take on the bats cause I have before. I slept the additional bat. Don't know what's going on but the bats were kicking my ass. They never kick my ass. I died of course. Aukai finished them off. i rested up and pulled another pot. I got the testimony. Thank goodness I didn't have to stay there all day. Then I joined Aukai in Cape Terrigan to do some FOV. I like doing this. I get skill ups and exp. I definitely need the exp before I head to another dynamis. I didn't get to finish page with him. My boyfriend came home and started to distract me, lol.

Brass Ribbons & Robes

I haven't played much in past few weeks. But amazing things happened when I did get on. On way back from a wedding out of state, my brother texted me that Windurst owned the Gustaberg OP. That was amazing.

We got in late Sunday night anyway so I didn't get on. I did get on Monday evening. Getting to Bastok area is not so easy. I ended up OP'ing to the Dunes, walk thru Konschtat to the Dem-Crag and then chocobo to the OP. Nothing else was going on so I just logged off. Darksday was not coming anytime soon.

The next time on, I parteid with Kirinkage (WAR) and Kakida (DRK). I was SMN. I was able to level to 44 in the party. We did 2 FOV pages before I had to go. Beaucedine is a crazy place to level. You are a sitting duck no matter where you are. At least this run we never died.

Today is Sunday and it's dynamis. We are doing Beaucedine. So I get on a bit early to station myself at zone. I checked conquest to see who owned the OP. Holy Shit!!! Windurst owned Ronfaure!!! So I had to get it. This would make doing Campaign easier. So I used my scroll of Retrace toget to San d [S]. I went to guy for evaluation in the city because I wouldn't be able to obtain another scroll. Holy Shit!! I got a new Ribbon. I am now a Brass Ribbon!! I guess the day of Campaigning my bro and I did helped a great deal. I grabbed my scroll and ran off to get my OP. After obtaining it, I went to park myself at Dyna zone. I ended up in a dd party. The run went well. Died only once. I got SMN relic robe too. RDM never dropped. That sucked. It was fun towards the end when everyone was gettong charmed and chasing people around. It was a good time though.

Well onto to my next adventure. Sorry no pics. I've been having difficulty taking screenshots from my laptop in Windowed mode.

Making Myself Better

I haven't written but I have played. Just haven't had time to write. I haven't done a lot of very interesting. I've been doing a lot of small things to better my character. First, I had to change the way I was playing. I originally started this game on a PC. I moved to my PS3 for multiple reasons, but the main one was that I gave my father my PC.

So I've been playing on the PS3 and I've always wondered why I am the one who always get aggro'd. Why is my casting time so slow? Why can't I keep up with the other characters in the game? My questions were answered when I decided to play the game on my boyfriend's PC. The answer... the PS3 loads soooo much slower. Things don't show up until after I am passing, thus my reason why I always get aggro. Main structures are there but the little structures that help you navigate the lands don't show up until I'm right on it. Thus I was always getting lost. Reaction time for me sucked because I didn't see what was happening until it showed up on my screen. This hurt my playing. I didn't realize this over the 2 years that I've been playing on the PS3. This was costing me my Maat fight. So how did I remedy this situation? I bought a laptop!!!!!!! The 1st nonbusiness software I installed was FFXI. In total, it took me 7 hours to update the software. Not bad. I also had to get my macros from the PS3. It didn't transfer well so I have to do it again.

So let's get down to the game playing.

Farming:
I've been farming items in Bastok region so I can gain Bastok fame for my last city summon, Titan. So I changed to SMN thinking that it would benefit hitting 2 targets at once. That was bad thinking on my end. The mobs died way too fast. So I just killed with my staff. All the while I'm farming this guy named "Ladiesman" was harrassing me to party. He was level 12. I told him I was farming and didn't want to party. He wouldn't take no for an answer. I even told him that if we did he was not going to get exp because I'm at a higher level.

At first I thought this guy was my friend Sbrightblade's mule. He wasn't. I don't know if he was just stupid. I told Kirinkage and Lordkaosu that this guy was harrassing me. I don't know if they said anything to him because he eventually stopped. I did get a lot of items that I still need to turn in.

I haven't done much dynamis lately. However I did do 2 Xarcabard run. The 1st run was pretty good. It was just farming and I got my Relic Hat: Deulist Chapeau. This makes me 3/6 on my relic. I count the belt. Not too many deaths. Our ls leader was not here on this run.

The 2nd run we were getting gear for a buyer and special pieces for people in the ls that needed items for their relic weapon. We died a lot on this run. I got down to 16k of exp.

SMN:
Started trio with Kirin and LK. I didn't level. But had good time. We tried Beaucedine. We can take mobs there just as easily as Zi'tah. This time was crazy because things kept aggroing us. We died a lot. We just had runs of bad luck. So we were calling it a day when LK aggro'd 2 tigers, then Kirin aggro'd a gob and tiger pair and 2 other gobs joined the party. Needless to say, we had our asses handed to us, lol. Made for an exciting time.

Campaign:
Haven't done campaign in a while. I need the exp from dynamis deaths. It was just me and Kirin. We did a E Ronf [S] fight and this dyde Ferix comes and attacks the mob we were attacking and then stole our union goods. Why did he choose our union? Where did he come from? In my book, he was an asshole. We went to Battalia Downs [S] next. There were only 3 of us there to fight. So why, when battle started, there were 5 people there attacking our mob when there were so many mobs there to attack? This was just not right. We tried to lose them. Didn't happen. We did lose them when we tried to kill the Turket. They did not want to fight that thing, lol. I only got 1 item from union.

Small Things:
I farmed a testimony with LK and Kirin in Delkfutt Tower for RDM. We also leveled our NPCs. Romidiant turned 43 there.

Afterwards we went to help LK with a Windy mission. We had to go to Lily's Tower. He needed a RDM, WHM and BLM. I went WHM since Kirin could only come RDM. We got to door that he needed. I skipped this mission by the way. So we needed to leave but I didn't have warp ready and LK didn't have escape or warp 2. So we decided to walk out. On the way, L aggro'd a ton of mobs. We tried to fight our way until I realised that I had Tele-Holla. I cast that spell and got Kirin and me to Latheine but LK warped himself.

So far things are going well. I did try FFXIV. I don't really like it, so I will be sticking to XI. I don't think many people from my server will be playing XIV.

Hats Off To Me

I haven't blogged in what seems like 2 weekends. I was supposedly put on a self inflicted punishment in order to get my taxes done. Guess what! They are not done but really need to be and I've played the game, lol.

So last weekend I got on to level my SMN. It was me (SMN), Lordkaosu (NIN) and Kirinkage (WAR) in Zi'Tah. We decided to do a couple of pages. I was designated to pull. I'm pretty good at Carby pulling. This day thus guy named Myce was bring a jerk. He was taking every mob I sent Carby after. He was being a total jerk. So I finally get some mobs. I made a comment about the guy in pty chat and Kirin & LK responded in LS chat. Found out that the jerk is in our dyna shell. We were currently using because our normal one was empty. He made a comment saying he felt left out. I just ignored him.

We continue to exp when I get a tell from Zannon asking me why I didn't invite Myce to my party. I told him he was being a jerk. That's funny tho. He ran to Zannon to try to get into my little party. Anyway towards the end, Kirin fell asleep on us and I was so close to leveling that I invited Myce to the party. I got my 43 and finished playing for the night.

Next time I get on, LK and Kirin were doing pages in Terrigan. Zannon was busy again, so I joined the 2 in Terrigan, level Romidiant and gain some skill ups in the process. We did like to pages from FOV. Romidiant leveled to 42. I thought we continue, but LK wanted to Campaign. So we started to make our way to the past. LK got there first and found out he couldn't participate. So at that note, I decided to just log off.

Tonight I finally got the chance to do dynamis in a while. I've been busy. Tonight's area was Xarcabard. Well at least it was a pretty decent area. I still need Qufim win. So I get to start a DD party. I got Ashpool (WAR) Kakida (WAR), Sabont (THF), Rafbacca (WHM) and Nevaeh (DRG). I disconnected couple of times. Thank you Cablevision. And the RDM hat dropped again. So I just bid to bid not expecting anything. I went about my business as usual. I was raising Frizzlefry when Zannon said I could lot the hat. HOLYSHIT!!!! I got RDM hat. Maat definitely has to die quickly. I now have 3/5 pieces for RDM and that's not counting the RDM belt.The rest of night went like typical dyna fashion; deaths and drops. I had to get off at 10 pm. It was a good time. Hope they go tp Qufim one Sunday that I can make it. All in all, these past 2 weekends were not as action packed as previous, but I got shit done. Not what I wanted, but done.

OMG I'm On A Roll

Friday night I got on game to help Lordkaosu with his mission. While he was getting ready I ran to Kazham to check my fame. I had just gotten Ramuh so I figure I had at least 1 level to go before I can take on Ifrit. I found the fame chic and tested my luck. Holy Shit!!! I can flag the Ifrit fight!!!! I ran to the Taru for fight/quest (it's always a Taru).
I told my ls that I flagged the quest. So I need to get to LK so I can help him with his mission. Kirinkage had already finished helping him. LK said he'd just come out for the Ifrit fight. Kakida wanted the fight also. So he was to join us. Kakida met up with me first. Then after a while LK logged out. So it left me and Kakida to fight this guy. So we head to Ifrit's Cauldron. We both do not have a map. So after 20 mins of getting lost we called it a night. Kakida had trial stuff and I was tired.
Saturday afternoon I came home on Saturday to find my bro, Kirinkage partying in Zi'Tah, level 40 something. There were 2 slots available so I asked him if I could join. He said he'd ask. So I ran upstairs to change and start up game. I was RDM from night before so I changed into SMN and op'd to Zi'Tah. I was able to get in the party. There were 2 BLU (Shelf and Shandella), SAM (I think it was Grayghost), WAR (Kirinkage) and myself, SMN. 1slot was left open for Kakida's return (BLU).
We partied for at least 2 hours there. Lordkaosu had joined us until Kakida returned, but Kirin left instead. As we were partying, I was able to talk a friend from leaving the game. In turn, I ended up setting up a party to go kill Ifrit. I stayed in party for awhile too. I was able to level up to 41.
So after party I suggested we all meet in Port Jeuno so we can take airship to Kazham. Most of them had to flag quest. So I had Vourant (MNK), LK (MNK), Kirin (DRG), myself (RDM). On our way to Kazham, Zannon (WHM) decided to join us. Kirin only came to walk with us thru the Cauldron. So at end we get tele'd to Yhoator; thanks to Zan.
We choco to the Cauldron and head to the Cloister of Flames. Kirin leaves then we enter the fight. The fight went by so quickly. I have such great guys in the game. Really they all are great. I digress. We beat the last record. We are record holders, for at least tonight. I don't know how often people go fight Ifrit. We get tele'd back to Yhoator so we can head back to Kazham and turn in our whispers. I get the ability to summon Ifrit!!! 2 more summons and 6 whispers to go. So I suggested that since we were on the island, if we can go get whisper from Leviathan. They all agreed.
We run to Norg to flag quest again. Vourant couldn't join us. So he waited in party to see what was going to happen next. I got the okay from the rest that we can do Shiva next. So he went to Fei'yin to wait for us. So the rest of us ran to Den if Rancor to the Cloister of Water to fight Leviathan. We took him at his strongest. It was Watersday, lol. We didn't make a record but we fought him quickly.
So this is when things get funny. I had Zan tele-holla us. That way he and LK can go flag quest and I repatriated and op'd to Beaucidine to get to Fei'Yin. I wait with Vou for Zan and LK. When they arrived, we ran to the fight. It was pretty easy.
So it was time for me to go check my Bastok fame. We were dying to fight another summon. So Zan took us on a shortcut to Bastok thru Altepa. Once there I went to the fame guy. The bastard told me I was only level 4. So now I have to visit that ugly place for 2 levels. I was so bummed, that I decided to call it a night. So I told my friends that I was logging for the night. So we disbanded the party. I warped back to Windy.
Before I logged I decided to log, I changed back to SMN. I ran out to take Ifrit out for a picture opportunity.

Umm Maat & Life in Vanad'iel

So I walked in the house & my brother is doing Dynamis. They were talking about me and whether I'm still pursuing RDM Maat. My bro told them I gave up on it & trying it with my SMN. They suggested that I level PLD or WHM to 66 to fight Maat since it's very easy. I have 2 summons to get: Titan & Fenrir. I also have to get the Whispers for all non-COP avatars too. I have a long way to go still. I'm only 41. I need 25 more levels on order to attempt Maat. We'll see. I just wanted to put it straight, I am not giving up on RDM Maat. I am still going to try. So don't lose hope for me yet.

Thunder, Thunder, Thunder, Ramuh Hooo!!!

So today I get on to farm some chips for my Windy fame, of course. I had an hour to kill so what the hell. Farming is necessary work.

So I gear up as NIN/DNC. I realize I need Shihei. Explorer moogle is out. So I run to San D because there's always some on AH and I really didn't want to go to Jeuno. I get to San D to find out there was none. A big fat 0! I just wasted my gil sending myself there. Now I have to spend some more to get to Jeuno. Bah... This is killing my time. I get to Jeuno, buy my shihei and ran back to Windy.

I warp op to E Sarta to head onto Giddeus. I farm and get exp at same time. The farming was God awful. For the whole time there I only got 9 chips. I'd had at least 5 to 6 stacks normally. Sucks. I did level to 20. There was at one point I thought I was going to die. I decided to get rid of a Yag that was just standing around. As I was fighting him, not 1 but 3 wasps linked and joined the fight. So I was being hit by 5 mobs (yags elemental) and could not cast Utsusemi. I, at one point, was down to 120 hp. Once the yag died, the fight got easier. I wasn't going down without a fight!!!! I ended up killing them all with my HP at 128. Hot Damn I'm good. I decided to leave Giddeus with my measely 9 chips. I killed some mandys and crawlers on my way to op. I got 2 cornettes and a yag sulfur.

Upon arriving back to Windy, I proceed to turn in my spoils of the night. I decided, hey let me check my fame before I log off. So I ran to the fame taru. She proceeded to inform me that people must be living under a rock if they didn't know who I was. I ran to check what that meant on the nearest computer that was on. Holy shit!! I got level 6!!! I can get Ramuh!!!! I'm excited!!! I run to Mhaura to start the quest before I log.

As I was running I was telling my linkshell and Zannon that I can do the Ramuh fight. Zannon asked if I want to do it then. I said sure. I ran back to Windy to change into RDM. Lugado and Lordkaosu wanted to do fight too. So we all had to meet at Boyhada Tree. Lugado had connection issues and couldn't go any longer. Lordkaosu was starting come then stopped and then came again. So it was just the 3 of us: WAR 85, MNK 75 and RDM 70. We run thru tree to Cloister of Storms. We buff then go in for fight. The fight was easy. Well at least for the 2 dds. I don't dd, but I kept Zannon healed a lot. LK didn't need as much. The fight ended in 3 mins and change. I get my Whisper.

I ran off to Windy then Mhaura to finish quest. I got RAMUH!!!! I run back to Windy and changed into SMN. I had to go bring him out of course.

3 more summons to go: Titan, Ifrit and Fenrir. Hot damn!!!

Ooops... Only an Hour?

So I was sitting around doing nothing on Saturday so I decided to get on the game and do SMN. My bro, Kirinkage, said let's do this. A friend, Lordkaosu, who hasn't gotten on the game in 7 months, said they'll get on to party with me too. So I already have a trio, when I log on.

So I run to turn on my PS3 and load up FFXI. Oops.... I forgot there was an update earlier in the week & I forgot to update. So that took 2 hours, lol. So I finally get on the game. I'm trying to make a party and go to Crawlers' Nest, but I couldn't make a full party. I did get 2 additional people, Kakida (DNC) and Crim (NIN). Just as we were getting ready, Kirin couldn't play any longer because he had to go to bed for early work next day. So we lost him. That leaves me (SMN) and LK (NIN), Crim and Kakida.

We met up in Altepa and took a page. Then I was reminded by my boyfriend that we are to go out for 10:30 that evening to help a friend. Damn it. That now only leaves us an hour and some minutes to do page. So we got our page and went hunting for the mobs. We were doing well. It's hard finding mobs in Eastern Altepa the goes with the FOV pages. We had a party wipe due to Manticore 2x aggro. We had only 2 mobs left when my friend called and said she was on her way to pick us up. So I told her to wait for 15 mins. I leveled to 40 without a buffer before I had to log for the night.

That sucked. I was really looking forward to playing. If only I remember about the update.

One PO'd Elvaan

This weekend's fan fare wasn't great. Even though it was a 3 day weekend I only got on game once. That once was enough to really piss me off. I even missed Dyna on Sunday.

So I get on game to level SMN. I was 6100/6700 to leveling to 40. So I asked around who wanted to join me. The only real taker was Nimotas. We've duo'd before. So we meet in Altepa. We chose page 3 of FOV. We had to kill 5 ants and 7 dhamels. Zannon and myself took on these together by ourselves before with no issue. Nim came WAR/DNC. We started the page. I pull a dhamel. Why did I get aggro'd by a gob that was no where near me. So I died.

We continue on. And the deaths continued. Kirinkage joined us death continued. Nim left death continued. So now I am pissed. So I decided to log with 5500/6700 to level SMN to 40. It was a horrible time on.

Side note: I have tried FFXIV. I am not a fan yet. I can't understand the controls nor the fighting style. Guess I am truly not much of a gamer. They say the controls are similar to other games. Oh well. The game runs better in windowed mode than full screen on our computer. It's pretty. I can give Sqeenix that. BTW, I play a Black Mithra in game, lol with the same name as FFXI. So if you on Besaid server look me up if I'm on.

Damn It...... Old Man is a Beast

So I finally tried Maat again. This how many tries? Don't know. I just gave up counting a while ago. So it started off well. I got him to, I think, 60% before he resisted both sleeps and bind. So I need to get a new testimony. Bah.

I going to level up SMN. And that what I did. I got Kirinkage to join me. We headed back to the desert. However, upon arriving I got aggro'd by a Manticore and Carby was no where around. He couldn't keep up with me. I ended up being killed by the Manticore while Kirin is fighting for his life from a Gob. He ended up dying too. We just started when all this happened. So we lost our buffs from book. We just ran around killing what we needed. The first page mobs gave shitty exp.

By time we were ready for a second page we were joined by Vourant. He came as MNK/DNC. The second page gave a bit more exp. After page was done we got one last one and then just killed anything around. We stayef away from spiders, gobs, worms, cacti and manticores. That just ledt beetles and anticans. All in all I have 600 points to level to 40.

I want to make a couple of corrections from my last post. The weapon skill I learned was Starburst not Stardust. And I did get the win from Valkrum Dunes. I checked my status today and it said "Valkrum Dunes Interloper". So I have access to Tavnazia. I'll probably not even try for Tav any time soon. I'll let the higher levels have fun.

FFXIV open beta starts tonight. I want to try it. Wish me luck.

If I Can Exp, Anti-can

Hello All. Haven't spoken to you in a few. I've been a very busy woman!! I didn't even have a chance to post my dynamis mistrial last weekend. A lot of good things have been happening for me lately unrelated to the game. But I apologize for the interruption.............. I seem to be apologizing a lot. On with my debriefing.

Last week, dyna ls went to Qufim. It's the last zone I needed win for before Tavnazia. I logged onto game and was ready to go. We enter zone, to find out that I don't have access to my subjob. That means no reraise until someone finds the ???. Lucky I had my rr earring on me. Guess what happened next?!? My doorbell rang. It was my sister. I couldn't just shoo her away. So I had my brother play my character. Unfortunately under his helm I died twice. Having to juggle game and my sister, I just logged off. So I didn't get the win. Next time I guess.

I haven't been on since until today. I get on to level my SMN some more. My bro Kirinkage is now back to the game. So Zannon was not available to duo yet. I was going to farm instead. I then realized Kirin wanted to join in so I changed to SMN to duo together in Sauromogue Champaign while we wait for Zannon, if he ever comes.

Just as I make it to Jeuno, Zannon was ready to join us. So we all are geared to fight. Zannon suggested we go Eastern Altepa and FOV, page 3. So we op there. We had to kill Anticans and Dhamels. On our way, I aggro'd a gob and Carby saved my butt. We find what we were looking for.

We finish the first page with a banger. We tried an IT mob with just the 3 of us. We survived luckily. By time we were ready for another page, Nutbutter came out to join us. He came DNC. I didn't have to do much healing. I fought alongside everyone. I got a lot of skill ups, learned a new weapon skill, Stardust, at it.
By nights end for me, I leveled to 39. My summoning magic went from 84 to 87. My staff skill went from 92 to 108. That was frickin' awesome. Just wish summoning magic would raise that fast. We also complwmeted 3 FOV pages. It was a great night.

I am going to try the FFXIV open beta in next couple of days. I will try to keep my name. We'll see how that works. I'll tell y'all how it goes. If I do continue to play 14, then I will create a separate blog, I think. I may not want to keep up both. So stay tuned for more.

Aging Well in The Dunes

This weekend I was able to get on twice this weekend. Better than I thought with all the work I have to do. Can you believe this year I've been so busy that I haven't done my taxes yet? I have a week and a half to get it done and post marked. Wish me luck!!!! Anyway, I digress. I'll break down this weekend into 2 parts.

Part One: Friday

I get on to do Zannon's and my static of getting our jobs to 80 (SMN and PLD). He was busy at first so I went to sell stuff, buy stuff, you know... Run errands. Within 10 mins he was ready. I wasn't, lol. I was still fiddling on the AH.

Anyway, we meet up. We were going to do weapons in Saraumogue Champaign (however you spell it). We had the following w/ people:
- Zannon PLD
- me SMN
- Cyricbellheart BLM
- Nutbutter RNG
- Xani BLU
- DRK (don't remember person's name)

The party was ok. I got to try out Diabolos. I tried to curse and nightmare he mobs. Some got thru without the ability being stunned by the mob. I did get a lot of summoning magic skill ups. After a while we decided to change venur to Garlaige Shitadel. The party broke after that. I did get one level in the party.

Zan and I then decided to duo in Yhutunga Jungle. We took airship there. We ended up doing a couple of FOV pages before Zan had to go do Behemoth.

Boy the life of a high level player. Duoing I was able to use my staff. I got some staff skill ups too.

I want to get all weapon skills for the staff. One of the later one gives you back MP!!!! I'm going to be a fighting SMN, lol, if anyone wants me. Overall exp'g with Zan is a lot of fun when he doesn't take off on me.

Part Two: Sunday

I get on couple ours before dynamis to farm beehive chips to get fame. Zannon said he'd help when he was done. So I changed to my NIN so i can exp and farm at the same time. I head to Giddues to farm. I found Arison in the area waiting for an NM. He helped keep the area clear of yags while I was killing Wasps.

Zannon came as Arison was leaving. He gave me some chips too. Zan was handling the lower areas while I stayed ontop. It was getting hard to get the wasps when all the yags came back. They came back with a vengence too. Finally it became too dangerous so I dropped below. I told Zan I'd meet him in Windy, but he was near me. He traded me the chips he got for the honey i got. In the end I had 7 stacks and 7/12 of chips.

I went to trade in the chips in Windy Woods and received that stupid make up title. When I was done, I went to check my fame. Only level 5. I just moved up one level. *sigh* I really don't like Windy. San D, Selbina and Norg fame wasn't so miserable to get. So I went to station myself in the Dunes for dynamis tonight. I went and had dinner.

This is my first time doing this zone. It will also be a very memorable one too. Here's a bullett synopsis.

I really don't know what to say besides being pissed about lag and kicks. No gear dropped that I wanted. Still sitting at 60 points. Now all zones I need to beat are Qufim and Tavnazia.

Winner of Dreams

So I get on to try Diabolos Prime fight again. I really want a new avatar for SMN. This one allows me to have minimal amount of fame in Windy & have COP 4-1 done. So this would be my 3rd or 4th time trying for this fight. I have Frizzlefry BLM & Zannon WAR already lined up. So I searched for others. I end up getting Nimotas DRG, Cherub SMN & Sadirah RDM/DRK (for chainspell stun). So this is how it went down....

1st Attempt - Died when Diabolos @ 3%
   Get in, kick ass, Sadirah chainspell went off, but the stun didn't go off. So chainspell was wasted and he nightmared and wiped us.

2nd Attempt - Died when Diabolos @ 90%
   Get in, 2 hits, he casts nightmare, he kills us all.

3rd Attempt ...
   Get in, stunning, no nightmare, was casting cure couple times, then tried to cast Cursna on Zannon but the spell wouldn't cast, WTF!!! OMF'inG DIABOLOS IS DEAD!!!!! We beat Diabolos. I can't believe it.

After the fight, I asked Frizzle to D2 me & he can nexus cape to me. I ran to Windy Waters to find Kerutoto so I can get my crystal to summon Diabolos. Nexus Cape works fast!!! As I was running a little teeny Taru ran by me. It was Frizzle. So I see Kerutoto and get the ability to summon Diabolos.

I ran back to my mog house to change into SMN to try him out. I was nearly out of my seat with excitement. I can cast Nightmare & Comadisode (however you spell it). Hot stuff. I took a pic of course.

So after I tried out Diabolos, I had to change back to RDM for dynamis. We were doing Bastok tonight. I was in tank party again. This time we didn't have a BRD. Just another RDM. But Zannon was in my party as WHM tho. He gave me devotion which was great, but MP didn't get back as fast as with BRD, lol. I was hoping that THF, NIN or SMN gear would drop but none dropped while I was there. THF did after I left. Just my luck. I died once due to, I have no idea.

I had a pretty good game day. Only wish I was able to tackle the old man.

Summonig Powers... Activate

Hello I'm back from vacation. & what a vacation it was!!!!!

So I got back to on game today to do an hour or so of leveling SMN with Zannon. We end up getting Frizzlefry, Rethem, Rafbacca and a girl from our Dyna shell named Primeria. So it was the following jobs: SMN, PLD, RNG, SAM, BRD, and RDM. So we partied in Yhoator Jungle. I have only partied there once before at this level.

So we partied well. I send out Carby to help fight. Every now & then I'd bring out Shiva to give everyone Ice Spikes. But I gave Shining Ruby more. My summoning skills were raising during party which was great. It's a hard skill to raise. I need more MP tho. And the rest of my avatars too. Another party decided to camp ontop of us too. That was a sour part of the party. Overall the party experience was great. I leveled twice. Within 2 hours. 3/4ths of the time I did not have my experience ring on. I used it towards the end of of the run. I forgot about it until then.

The rest of the guys had Nyzul so the party broke.

I arrive to Jeuno and was placed in the tank party with Zannon. :) I then ran off to take a quick shower because I had just gotten back from the beach.

Upon my return I got a tell from Inchigo. Haven't seen him on game in a long time. He told he partied with Titen and Naquel earlier. Then he said he didn't have a linkshell. Told him to run here to Jeuno so I can give him a pearl. He made it just in time I was about to head into the dynamis zone.

So once in we start killing as usual. And a lot of gear drops were going free lot. I was thinking of either leveling THF or NIN as my high level dd/support job. So I bid on the THF boots and won it with a lot of 982! Wow! Never get lots that big. NIN stuff dropped but it wasn't free lot so I didn't bother bid. A Relic Staff dropped too and I won the lot wih a whopping 930 points again!!! That is just crazy!! Just wished RDM/SMN gear dropped but they never did. :(

What was really exciting for me was having BRD refresh ontop of my own refresh my mp recovery was 6mp/tick. That's pretty fast. I also didn't have to put on many buffs because SMN was putting on Stoneskin, Phalanx, Blink and other stat boosts. I was in mage heaven.

I died once when someone attacked a SMN mob when no one was ready and it astral flowed and we all hit the ground. Other than that the run was good. We got he win for those who needed it. Only thing that could've made the run better would've been RDM gear drop and I got the piece.

Prime Failure

Friday:

I missed Darksday while I was still traveling home so that means that I can't do my Maat fight. So I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone. I will level NIN while hunting Beehive Chips. Sounds like a good plan!
I log on and change to NIN and run off to Giddeus. I start killing bees and wasn't getting any drops. So I decide to go to the middle top area. There are a lot of bees there. I had to fight some yagudos on the way. It's experience. What I found in the middle wasn't so nice. There's this level 77 WAR who is also after bees. Just my luck. So I found me a little spot. My NIN is a lot tougher than I expected. I got linked bees the first time and I took them both down. However, things were slow going because of that WAR.

So My friend Ryuhlu was coming to meet me to get a pearl for the linkshell. So I convinced him to stay and sync to me. We just started killing both bees and yags. Then I grabbed a priest yag who I forgot to check. It was a tough. Needless to say we both died but we gave a good fight. We got him to less than 10% but he healed himself. The idiot. I 2 hr'd. That consists of me blowing myself up like a gob. We had to hp because Ibdidn't have reraise up at all.

I understood why Ryu didn't want to come back to Giddeus. I after all got him killed. But he did want to get into stuff. So he was going to help me with getting Windy missions up but I wanted to to do Diabolos prime. At first we didn't have any takers. So I was going to start the cutscenes for mission 6-1. As I was running off, Crim said he wanted to do Diabolos fight. So we changed plans. I ran off to Tavnazia to finish cutscenes for COP4-1 so I could have access to prime fight.

So I met up with Crim, Ryuhlu and Houshisama at Beaucedine. We run thru Pso'xia (however you spell it) to the Shrouded Maw for fight. We fought him 3 times on Lightningsday and once on Lightsday. Nightmare kept goin off and Sleepgas to. I was asleep most of the fights. There was one time we could've had him but he spammed Nightmare. We decided to try again Saturday night.

Saturday:

After a long day at the beauty parlor I came home and got on the game since I promised to do the Diabolos fight again and maybe Maat fight. When I got on Darksday was just ending so Maat has to wait. I tell Crim that I'm on and ready whenever he is. He was heading to a party with Solesiren. I said no problem I could wait. Sole said they could the party after he Diabolos fight. So we have Frizzlefry BLM, Crim DRK, Solesiren WHM, Zannon WAR and me RDM.

We all meet up in Beaucedine and head for the fight. We tried twice. The 1st time I accidentally ran off the ledge thinking I was canceling autorun. That was totally my fault. No one was ready. That was a really crazy accidental move I've made in a while. The 2nd try we were killing him but he did a back to back Nightmare when he was so low on energy. In turn he kicked the dd's asses because us mages were put to sleep. Then we died.

Diabolos is a lot harder than expected. I will get him sooner or later.

Dynamis Lord Down... Bah

It is has come to once a week that I am playing. So I get on yesterday afte a disagreement with my mother. So I wasn't in the best of moods. I certainly didn't want to fight Maat. Just wasn't in me. So I decided to level NIN.

I throw in linkshell to see if anyone wanted to duo with me. Then I was rudely disconnected from game. I got back on and Naquel and Zannon both decided to join me. Naq was coming SAM and Zan was coming WAR. I had to buy gear first. I can't be level 17 using level 7 and 11 gear and weapons. I bought the Bone Set off of AH in Jeuno. As I was making last purchase I disconnected again.

I go back to Windurst to change when I got back on. I meet Zan and Naq at OP in the Dunes. I'm glad Naq is back in our linkshell. He makes it livelier. He's over all his drama. So we get our buffs and pages. I set forth to fight. The first mob we chose was a fly. We are near killing the fly when, guess what? I frickin' disconnect again!

I get back on and meet the guys at the oasis. We start killing again. So far we are doing well. We nearly slaughter every fly and crab in the vicinity. We get another page. Just as I was about to get some buffs, I disconnect again. If this happens again I am not doing dynamis later.

I get back and get to crackin'. I leveled to 19 by time we were done. I gained 2 levels. I luv both Zannon and Naquel. They are always down for whatever. Zannon is so supportive. He always asks me how my Maat fights going and gives me words of encouragement. He's sweet. He asked me when I go to test farming to let him know because he wants to help me.

So we run to Selbina to change to our jobs for dynamis. We are doing Xarcabard tonight. They want to try the Dynamis Lord again. So Zan teleported us to Xarc. I didn't have to worry about party since I was still in Zan's party. However I was still pulled out and put into Crazyone's party.

After like an hour, we head inside the zone. We go thru the zone taking out the 15 NM's, the dragons, then Ying and Yang. At this point, Crazy sends folks to job change for the big fight. The peeps come back and Crazy kicks me out of party to get bard songs. He never put me back in party when the big fight happens.

So I left my flag up. I was a bit pissed off at this point. I just didn't bother heal anyone nor did I buff anyone. I just pretended I was fighting the dynamis lord alone. We ended up taking him down and getting the win.

I am still partyless. They want to take pics and shit. As you can tell, I'm still a bit pissy. Then Crazy was like oh yeah, I'm gonna get you in party now. So they want my help to farm but not to fight the big guy. F'k that. I was just too pissy by then that I had to leave. Not because it was time for me to get ready for bed but because I was too thru with the whole situation. Oh well. I got the win. Everyone was excited but me. I'm just that Redheaded stepchild that noone wants tonight.

That God Damned Old Man

So I get on to get supplies & wait for Darksday to fight that old man. It was Watersday when I logged on. I have 3 Vana'diel days to go before Darksday. So I logged on as Tigerleigh, first. I wanted to get a level and some more gil for her to start crafting. I got her to level 6 before I switched to TK.

So I run to Jeuno to buy supplies, sell stuff, and get finish off the latest Gobbiebag quest I had open. I ended up with 70 slots in my inventory now. 2 more Gobbiebag quests to go to get 80 slots. So I still have a lot of time to kill.

I decide to FOV in Battalia Downs with my SMN. So I chose the 1st page. I start off w/ 3100/6k of exp. I had to kill saplings and flies. I find the saplings easily. The flies were giving a warm time. I couldn't find one to save my life. I brought out Romidiant to help me fight decent challenges and even matches as I searched for the damn flies. I finally found them in a dangerous area where there were tons of gobs and tigers around. I finally finished my page and didn't even notice it. So I ran back to Jeuno with only 400 exp to level. I could've just finished off the level, but I was hungry. So I went to mog house and changed back to RDM and sat myself next to the old man to wait for Darksday.

I come back to see Arison. I haven't seen him since ClanBelmont broke up. I gave him a pearl & one for Arisonsbaby for NPF. So just the beginning of Darksday and I entered the fight. He resisted all sleep and Asurian fisted me to the face. So I gathered my friend Rum to help me get a new testimony in Delkfutt Tower. On the first pot, the testimony dropped. So I ran to try that old man again since it was still Darksday. I enter again. I am doing very well even though I almost died, but managed to save my ass. Then when I got him to below 50% he chainspelled & he resisted both sleep 1 & 2. So I ended up face up again. I need a new testimony.

I am growing tired of this old man. I was so annoyed, that I logged off the game. I was supposed to duo with Syl but I was in a rotten mood, so I logged off. So that was my adventure.

I kid I kid. I joke I joke.

Well I haven't been on game since dyna Buburimu. So I mentioned to my bro that I wonder when they going to announce the winners for the Mog Bonanza. He said they've been out for a while. I asked him why he didn't tell me. He said he assumed I knew. He has to remember, I haven't been on game in like forever!!!

So I ran to get on game before I lose my chance to trade in my marbles. I take the long walk in Port Windy to the Bonanza Moogle. I found him. I trade all 5 marbles to him.

Boo Yah!!!! Rank 5 WINNER on 1 marble. So what to choose? It definitely had to be a statue. The rest were items that I don't use or don't want. So there were the following statues:

Fafnir
Alexander
Shadow Lord
Adamantoise
Behemoth

Which did I pick? Who would play to my personality and decor? Can you guess?

I chose Fafnir!! It gave 4 Storage spaces too.

I like dragons too. This was my very first time winning a bonanza on this game.

Diabolical Buburimu

So it's been a while again that I've been on the game. However, I've been on since my last post, basically like 4 hrs in total. I mostly farmed & helped a friend. Nothing major.

So I decide to get on today to see if I can do Maat and if I can get COP 3-5 done. I couldn't do dynamis if I didn't beat 3-5 anyway. Tonight was Buburimu.

I get on and Darksday was just ending. Damn it. So I started farming. I went to Giddeus to farm. As I was farming I was discussing with my linkshell, NPF, that I need to get 3-5 done and if anyone wants to help me. Zannon, DRG and Solesiren, WHM said they'll help immediately. These 2 are down for everything. Then Frizzlefry said he'll come as DRK. Woot now there's 4 of us, now I need to coax 2 other people. So I was able to get Rethem, DRK and Vourant WAR. So we were to meet in 30 mins.

I decided to finish things up in Giddeus and go post myself at place in Beaucidine. I had to do some work. I only sat there for probably 20 mins before people started to show up. Zannon and Vourant showed up first. Both of them are dying for me to beat the old man that they gave me stuff to help with the fight. They are so sweet. So we waited for the rest of the folks. When everyone arrived we ran in.

There were some logistical issues. We all got lost besides Frizz and Zannon. I was the 3rd person to find the spot without aggro. Sole, Vourant, Reth were still lost. Sole got aggro. Frizz went back to find them. Vourant made it to us. Rethem then went to help Sole out. Frizz & Reth died. They hp'd and came back. Then Reth made it to us & Frizz got lost. LMAO!!!!! So we are together again and before I clicked the burning circle Frizz & Rethem clicked and entered the Waking Dreams fight which was the prime avatar battle. So they both were a wrap. So they hp'd & came back. So I told them to wait until I click it. So I click and entered and got my cutscene. When the cs was done we went to the fight. We killed it in the 1st attempt. No one fell nor did they die. Woot!!!!! I can now go to Outland dynamis!!!! Yay!!

I thanked everyone for their help. Frizz says he's not going to this fight ever again. I don't blame him, even though he kicked ass. I went to finish this mission in Jeuno. I then went to station myself in Buburimu for dynamis later that evening.

I come back to the game in time for dynamis. I was sitting next to Rethem.

I ended being in the pulling team with a little bit of damage dealers. So I followed peeps to our first camp where we got the win.

After getting the win, we took on nightmare crabs. There I died my first time. Then we tried nightmare efts next. Then we tried the nightmare rerab. One of those wiped the whole team, lol. We were not on our game at that point. So that was my 2nd death. We left the to try the nightmare crow. That was a wipe too when 24 crows came a calling. That was death 3. When we rose we took on the nightmare crawlers. Those were pretty easy. We knocked them out and got drops as we were running out of time. We got 4 gear in less than 10 mins. Good times.

Tomorrow is the long awaited update. Level cap increases to 80.

One More Lesson Learned

I forgot to mention one more thing that I forgot to mention in my last post. I'm quite besides myself as to why I forgot to mention this. It was by far the most interesting thing that happened that weekend.

This takes place when I was leveling NPC with Nimotas and Vourant in Cape Terrigan. Both Nim and Vou had to go AFK, but Frizzlefry came to give Vourant a pearl for our dynamis LS. So I went to get Frizz to show him where we were. Well of course things didn't run smoothly. I got aggro'd by a crab. I normally can't take crabs by myself, but I tried. I hoped that one of my party members came back in time. If not I could call for help. So I took on the crab.

When he attacked I didn't have any buffs on. My reraise had worn off. I was able to put rr on and stoneskin while fighting. It was a slow fight, but I was taking him down. If it was the new sword I don't know. I was on a roll and I had a lot of mp to cure myself and refresh my buffs. I got this crab down to less than 10% when the worst thing happened!!!! Can you guess what it was? Well herr it is. Nimotas came back from being AFK and came and killed it with one swing. He did it so fast I couldn't scream "Do not help me." Darn it!

That was exciting for me. That crab read Tough for me!!!! I was not even /NIN!!!!!!!! I was kicking ass /WHM!!!! For those that said RDM/WHM, can't melee too much, after that fight, I'd give them the finger!!! They say RDM/NIN is impossible to gage well RDM/WHM is kick ass!!! I'm so proud of myself!!!!

To Learning New Things

Nothing spectacular happened this weekend. It was just average.

On saturday I logged on to continue to farm beehive chips for Windy fame. So I immediately ran off to Giddeus. I start killing bees but with very little reward. I realized that I forgot to sub THF. So I warped back to Windy to change. Now that I changed, drops were coming. As I was farming Nimotas asked if I could help with Charby. I told him yes since he had helped me with mine. I told him to let me know the closer the window was. So I continue to farm until I was bored. I made 2 stacks of beehive chips and a good amount of honey for Kakida. He makes me echo drops so it's a win win solution.

So i ran off to Sea Serpent Grotto to meet up with Nimotas and Rum. We were the first people to arrive. After half an hour another party came. So it was down to who claimed Charby first. The other team did. But they successfully wiped leaving Charby to us. Unfortunately they didn't damage him too much. Then we wiped. The other party reclaimed and got him. We never get Charby on first try. We always wipe. So I warped and logged off game.

Sunday, I got on with Tigerleigh first. I did one page of FOV. I am trying to get her to use her own gil to farm with and not the gil TK sends to her to hold. So I got her to level 5. So she has some gil now to start the crafting. I then switch to TK. I get on and sell stuff from my inventory from Sat. I finally reached fame level 4. So whenever we do COP 3-5 we can immediately take care of the diabolos avatar battle too. Yay!! So then I decide to FOV by myself in the Jeuno area on SMN. I op to Qufim. I decided to FOV there. I was originally going for Battalia Downs. So I grab a page and sat and healed. Then Nimotas showed up. So I got him to duo with me. Unfortunately he died twice. So he suggested we FOV in Cape Terrigan and level our NPC. So I had a tactics pearl to burn and I just received a new quest for another one earlier when I summoned Romi.

So we meet up in Terrigan and chose a page to go and do. Att he beginning of this run, Romidiant was level 37. I used my signal pearl and all 4 charges on my tactics pearl. At the end of the night Romi was level 40. During our run, I added Vourant to he party. All 3 of us were leveling our NPCs.

I gave Vou a pearl for the new ls NPF too. Rethem made me a sack. The very last thing I did before I logged off was get a new tactics pearl in Tele-Mea with Nimotas. while getting the tactics pearl we killed mobs in Promy-Mea. Did you know if you kill 30 mobs you het max experience for your NPC? I didn't. After I clicked the ??? We were supposed to click, Romi gained 1500 exp points. Hot damn. I'll do that everytime I have to get a tactics pearl. Romi also has this hot gear that I can't lock.

What a Memorial Weekend!!!

This weekend was a great weekend of accomplishment. However, I didn't get all what I wanted to accomplish done but what a hell of a weekend!!!!

Saturday was the day of missions. I started off solo. I went to Castle Oztroja for another piece of magicite for Windy mission 4-1. I got so lost in therre that my bro Kirinkage had to come direct me and I have a map! So I made him escort me to my last leg of this mission in Beadeaux. By then we had Kakida and Naquel coming. Naq needed mission 5-1 also so we decided just to go ahead and take care of that mission. So I went to Jeuno to finish off 4-1, got my 20k in gil and went to Windy to start mission 5-1.

We all meet in Fei'Yin. However, we needed another healer and damage dealer for the mission. I got Ashpool and Kirin got a taru named Neoscrilla. This is the mission we have to take on skeletons. We did this mission so easy since we had some badasses in my party. Since we had everyone, we decided to just get the Shadow Lord fight down. So I had to run back to Windy to finish off mission 5-1 and start 5-2.

We all met back to Castle Zhavl Baileys in Xarcabard. We follow Neo thru the crazy place and make it to the throne room for the fight.

We were getting ready to enter when Naq went gung ho. He entered and attacked the Shadow Lord before the rest of us could enter. So we had to wait for him to come out dead. So we entered the fight again, all of us this time. So while I was in my cut scene they started the fight. I find out that all my buffs were gone, so I only put on reraise. By time I finished casting, we were on the second phase. Ashpool, the badass that he is, had to be cured primarily. So the fight went by so fast that I couldn't take any screenshots. This by far was the fastest SL fight I've ever been in. I thanked everyone for their help. So I went from Rank 4 to 6. Not a whole lot of movement in the ranks, but I still feel accomplished.

On Sunday, Windy had finally captured the Dunes! I had to run and catch the op there. Once I captured the op, I decided to solo on my NIN. I did a page of FOV. I was doing well until I got a link and died. Lucky I had reraise up. I didn't level tho. I just finished the page because I beckoned to do something else. I had to miss dyna Xarcabard because I had party plans Sun night and had to go shopping.

Monday night after the 2 BBQs that I went to, I got on game to concentrate on Windy fame. My bro was concentrating on getting me a joytoy (Joyeuse). I went to Giddeus killing bees for beehive chips. I was on a roll deep in Giddeus when my bro told me to run to Sea Serpent Grotto to help camp and get some skill ups on placeholders. So I get there, with guidance of my bro, and we took on 2 mantas when Rethem came to join us. He wanted to take down some NM, so this guy Rum came along. Then they both came in. Rethem was telling my bro about which manta was a placeholder for Charbydis. He said we should kill stuff outside the door while we wait between pops.

So we leave and then he said we should go back in and wait so he can show us which pop is a placeholder. Within 5 minutes of waiting for the placeholder pop, Charby popped instead. OH SHIT!!!!! So we try to take it as dd that Reth was, NIN/DNC that RUM was and me & Kirin (PLD) cured. We wiped, but the great thing was that no one was there to grab claim!!!!! So we healed, Kirin hp'd and Nimotas was on his way as DNC/NIN. But Nim told us that people went thru gold door with him.

Shit!!!! So Rum took claim before the other guys came. So Rum, Rethem began to fight and Nim walked right in fighting. I was the best God-damn RDM on this fight. Charby couldn't keep any boosts going because he was dispelled often. He was slowed, paralyzed and gravitied. It was
great to have all the DNC and /DNC with curing waltz and healing waltz. It helped out a great deal. Kirin made it back and helped heal. I had to convert at one point. I didn't totally heal myself because I needed the MP. So when he got to 10% HP, he killed Nim and Reth leaving only Rum. I was screaming for Kirin to go attack, not that he could hear me, because the other people was dying to get such a great gift of a very weakened Charby. So Kirin buffed up and went to fight! He and Rum were doing great and I stopped enfeebling and concentrated
on curing. But guess what happened!!!! My timer on my TV turned my TV off. By time I got it back on, Charby was dead!!! I GOT MY JOYEUSE!!!!!! Hell yeah!!! No pics though, thanks to my timer.

So since I was on a winning high, I decided to tackle Maat. This time I let my bro who was sittin next to me, assist me in my fight. He could take the edge off and help me remember doing somethings when my nerves get the best of me. So he helped me define a new strategy, but
it's a slower strategy. It was working grandly, but Darksday ended and firesday began. How did we know? My sleeps were resisted!!!! So I ended up getting a face full of Asurian Fist. Oh well but I got a new strategy that works.

I went to chat with Romidiant at the rendevouz point in Windy Waters when I got back. In speaking to him, he gave me my very first tactics pearl quest. I'm shocked. So once again, I had my bro guide me where I needed to go. I had to head into Promyvian - Mea and search for
the ???. Did I mention, that when you enter the promy you are restricted to level 30? That sucks. But apparently your NPC is supposedly stronger than you. I didn't get to test this theory. I didn't get aggro. I got my ???, was warped out of there. I went back to Waters and summoned Romi and got my tactics.

Tuesday, because I had the day off, I got on game to do more quests for Windy Fame. However, that didn't happen. First thing that happened was Lordgrim sought my help to fight an NM in Vunkel (S) - however you spell it. So I use my last charge on my Kingdom stable collar to get to San d'Oria quickly so I can enter the Maw there. So I met him in San d'Oria (S) and we tele'd to Vunkel. We were waiting for Celias and her funky internet connection. But after a while I just told LG to call me back when he's ready to roll.

I then ended up duoing with Ryuhlu, him on BLU. I level synced my RDM to 50 to duo in East Altepa. We took on 2 FOV pages before I had to leave. I did die once. I was hoping to gain experience, no to lose any. Ryu died twice.

Didn't get too many goodies though. I left Ryu and parked my char at Delkfutt Tower in Qufim. Zannon offered to help me get a new testimony. I went to eat dinner.

Upon coming back I proceed to head to the floor with the Magic Pots. I bump into Zannon farming gil waiting for me. Kirin happened to join us too. So we take out pots and the entire floor. I had brought out Romidiant. He also leveled to 37 after I got my testimony. So our bond
is getting stronger. I logged from gamr after Romi left. I had to get ready for work.

Job Debates

Last night my bro asked me if there was a job that I secretly wanted to play but haven't touched. That's a good question. All the jobs that I am leveling to 75 are the ones I like, RDM and SMN. I should try to at least have a dd job. So far I have leveled DRG and THF to 15. DNC to 11 and NIN 17. However, THF and DNC are considered support jobs and not DD jobs. I find NIN and THF to be very similar.

I am liking NIN but not as far as wanting to use it as a tank. I do not have /WAR nor do I intend to level it. I currently /DNC with my NIN. I like the combination. So if I take NIN past 37, I will stick with the combo. The only part of NIN that I don't like is buying all the tools to cast your spells. I'm just so used to having my mp based spells.

I don't think I'll level DRG because of thr /WAR requirement. Also, I can't control my wyvern in the extent I can can control my avatar. Meaning, I can't send it to attack and bring back a mob. THF, well Sneak Attack Trick Attack just confounds me. Pulling is ok with me tho. I do pretty well at pulling. DNC I will take to 37 if NIN goes to 75. But that's all speculation at this point.

I have not unlocked SCH, PUP, BST, or COR. I have no interest what so ever. SCH may be very interesting to others but I'm way too magey. I have SMN and RDM. 2 is enough. BST is just so...beastly, lol. To be honest, the automations for PUP scare me. So PUP is OUT. COR, besides resetting timers, I don't find them useful.

All other jobs I have unlocked because I was seeking fame. I am not interested in BRD, BLU, RNG or PLD. I am not a tank girl, so PLD is out. BRD too magey. As I said before 2 is enough. RNG hits hard but
not so much interesting. BLU, bah, just a tweeked RDM with no benefits for the party. They get to battle more.

I was interested in DRK for a minute as well as BLM for subs for dynamis but eh, not a necessity. I amcso not emo or goth so DRK really don't strike me as a viable job for me. (Just in case you missed the undertones, that was a joke.) Seriously, DRK no longer interests me. BLM was just so boring since I've done the nuking on RDM. As for now I'm pretty content with jobs I am choosing to level. My interest in the game has weened. My time has been limited tho.

Do I think I can take more than the 2 jobs to 75? Very possibly, but like any high level player, I am running out of storage. As you get higher, your gear starts to become rare/ex so you can't sell it. Nor can you send it to a mule for storage. I am not buying a storage token either. You know how many tokens I have to use in life to access stuff? Bah, an annoying piece of plastic. And when the battery dies you have to purchase a whole new one. GTFOH!!! Not me. The added security I believe is more for computer users.

The Lord of Dynamis

This weekend was a very eventful weekend. I spent a lot of time duoing with Naquel. I also taken care of a lot of business.My plans were canceled on Friday so I came home and played the game to cool off.

On my way home, my bro told me there was some drama in his Nyzul LS. Ah the the endgame life. Always drama!!!!! Anyway once I logged in, I get to talking with Naquel. So we decide to duo. Him on his SAM and then changed to DRG and me on my SMN. I was tired of Qufim and suggested we do Battalia Downs.

So we meet up there. We meet up and sync to me. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but Naquel hits extremely hard. It's actually meritted 3/4. So during duoing it's hard to cure him. He takes soooo much hate and sooooo many cures. Hard to keep him healed. So at one point, I decided to use my emperor band and I accidentally called out Romidant. Doh! But I learned something tho. I can have both Romi and Carby out at the same time. So Romi has gotten some experience, not a lot tho. So Naquel brought his out too. His is a Mithra named Fhig.

Naquel died twice. He's a good sport about it. He really a sweet guy. I got my friend SBrightBlade to come and raise Naq. After he comes and raised Naq, I believe by time he zoned into Jeuno, Naq was down again.
He got aggro while he was healing. SBB was coming back to raise, but Inchigo's friend Tokashi happened to run by and raised him. SBB then said to Naq, "Try to stay alive this time, my party's waiting for me."
Now Naq replies, "So go then, this Naq and TK's time, alone." LMAO. Anyway, I was getting sleepy and had to run off. Kirinkage ended up taking my place after his Nyzul run. I did level to 32 by time I left.

Sunday I had a big day of odds and ends. I needed to run errands (do quests), missons and selling stuff. I'm in clean up mode. I figured I do these while wait for Darksday to arrive. So Kirin tells me I should take the next quest for my NPC. Ok, the last one didn't suck but this one did. Had me run to Windy and then find food which had me all over the map. In true FFXI form, it took me pretty much 1.5 hrs of running around and I didn't have one food item, San d'Oria tea. Apparently you either have to be a Sandy Resident or have someone cook it for you. So this quest took so much of my errand running time.

Naq then also contacted me too. We decided to duo again, but this time I needed to do NIN. I needed to get the frustration off of my back. I gear up and meet Naq in Dunes. We level sync and get moving. He came as SAM again. This time out he was more careful at taking time to rest now that I can't cure him. We take on lizards. We mainly stayed near the Konshtant side of the Dunes. When Kirin got home, he decided to get me
the tea for the stupid quest. He also came to power level us. As I he was on the way, I decided to pull a bat. But this bat was a bit unusual. He hardly took a hit, then Naq went down then I went down. We both had rr on, thank goodness. Kirin found us when we were healing.

Fully healed, Naq went and attacked a lizard too close to gob camp. Needless to say we were attacked by 4 gobs. Thank goodness for Kirin. I couldn't even put on my shadows. I did level during the battle and
capped my katana skills by time we finished all the gobs. The gobs were IT to me. So we just started to take on tougher mobs. After a while, around 5, I told Naq i have to go so I can finish the quest up and get ready for dynamis.

I ran off back to Windy and gave in the goods requested. I had to go back to Jeuno and talk to Luto again. Then she sent me to find the little girl from the beginning of the NPC quests. At the end, our bond was strenghtened. We'll see how strong it is when I next call him out next time.

I ran off to Xarcabard where dynamis is being held tonight. There was a message in the ls saying we will try the Dynamis Lord tonight. I place my self at the trail markings and went to go eat dinner. When I get back we still haven't formed parties or anything. I just waiting for a while. So I decided to catch up with some bills.

So dynamis was any typical run except we concentrated on the NMs more than the regular mobs. I guess we have to defeat all the NMs for Ying and Yang to spawn. By time we made it to Ying and Yang, I died twice.
We get to Ying Yang, I died at the first attempt. After the 2 dragons went down, we decided to pull the Dynamis Lord. We had to buff all the dd's. We mages sat down to heal for a while. Then they get the dynamis lord. Everyone was trying to zerg, but DL slept everyone. So the chainspell stuns didn't go off when they wanted to. So in the end DL won. He summoned back Ying and Yang from the grave too. I only got a
picture of DL's back as he was walking away from stepping on me. I didn't have the time while nuking and curing. I was a busy woman.

This is by far was a very interesting weekend. I'm looking forward to
meeting the old man, continuing to work on quests to get my fame up,
and leveling my sub and next 75.

Windsday's No Good For Me

I really haven't done any exciting things in the past week or so. It's been pretty standard. I have been working on some goals tho.

So i decided to try Maat again. This time I tried him on Windsday instead of my usual Darksday. I heard that casting Aero III would be more powerful on Windsday. So I tried him then. The #1 thing that happenend was that he wouldn't sleep. So I bound and silenced him. So I could get away from him. I cast Aero 3 but it didn't do any significant damage as if I'd done it on Darksday. So I repeat the bind and silence on him again since he won't sleep. I'm even wearing me enfeebling torque that was requested that I should use. I used one
vile elixir but he came unbound just as quickly and asurian fisted me to death. Oh well, I tried something new. Back to Darksday.

I've been selling gear and items that I don't need any time soon. I figure that the only things that I am going to be working on are SMN, /NIN, /DNC. I was goin to /BLM but I totally changed my mind at level 12. So I am totally selling my mage gear after I no longer need it. All other battle gear I am selling too. When and if I need them in future, I will purchase them again or go farm them in Giddeus.

I have started to craft on TigerLeigh. I have joined the cooking guild. I also decided she will not touch the gil I sent over from TK. She's gonna earn the gil from FOV or if I get supplies from TK. I need to save my gil for the overly expensive gear and accessories after 70. So TL is now level 3.

I couldn't do dynamis on Sunday. They went to Dunes. i need to find folks to help with COP 3-5. I got Kirinkage and Frizzlefry to help me and Houshisama. I need 2 stunners. Wish Demicus came on regularly.
Kadianna is gone completely. Oh well. When I find them, then I will get it done.

I trio'd with Kakida and Grayghost on my SMN. I am now 29. However, me and GG died twice but Kakida once. We attempted an NM by mistake. I was dead with one shot. Oh well. We had a pretty ok time. I really need to work on Windy, Bastok and Kazham fame. I still need Ifrit, Titan, Ramuh, Diabolos and Fenrir. I can't getthe new ones, Odin or Alexander, until I'm 75.

I have been trying to level my NPC and farm items I need. The first place we did (Kirin, Houshi and myself) did was Onzonzo. Romidant leveled to 35 there. He didn't last as long as Nanako or Houshi's NPC.
His NPC is level 61. Where as Nanako was 42. The second place I went to level was Delkfutt's Tower for my RDM testimony. He lasted a whole lot longer than ever before. He leveled to 36 in the Tower. After I
left the tower, I went to Jeuno to place stuff on AH and sell some stuff. I also did a NPC quest while I was there. I am now able to view and spend my fellowship points with Romidant. I have a bit more than
24.4k in points.

See nothing very exciting. I also got my inventory to 65 too. But I am making a commitment to kill that old man. I'm quite tired of being level 70 and being left out of things. Give me couple of months and I
will be 80, lol. I will post a progress post in couple of days.

Palling Around with Friends

When I logged onto game, my friend Naquel had sent me a tell. I was in Jeuno when I logged on. I met up with him in Lower Jeuno. I was finishing up my quest for my Gobbie Quest and puttin things on AH. He
said he was bored and looking to party but cab't get an invite. I said I could duo with him on my NIN in Buburimu Pennisula if he was game. He said sure.

Before I go any further, today I had taken off from work because the water man was coming. I was also waiting for my beautician to call me so I could get my hair braided. It's a 4 to 5 hour process. Now back
to your scheduled program.

So I run to Windy to change to my NIN. I meet up with him in Bubu. He came as WHM to my NIN. We take a page out the FOV book. We are supposed to kill 6 Sylvestres and 1 Rabbit. We take out the rabbit
first. We started on the Sylvestres.

I think we got to 3 down before Naq went down. I tried to call for a raise. I got no answer. He asked if he should HP back. I told him no, I'll change in Mhaura and come
back to raise him. He fussed aboute losing my page for FOV. Told him not to worry about it, I can always get another page. So I throw on invisible and head off to Mhaura.

As I get 2 steps from Mhaura, I get 2 phone calls back to back. I paid the calls not as much attention as I should of. One was my mother and the other my beautician. She tells me to come and my mom said
something to effect of picking her up. So once inside Mhaura I told Naq to HP because I had to go pick up my mother. He said no problem. I then shut off the gamr with me in Mhaura.

Next day I took a little time to get my anniversary ring on both characters. I did it first on TK. I apparently talk a lot. I haven't as much as I thought. Unless this number is just between last event and this event. Then it would be way out of tune. Here are my stats and a picture of me wearing he dinner suit given for the event.

Now here's TL's stats. It is pretty bare but what gets me is that I died because of poison. But the stats does not reflect it in the # of K'Os. I guess it only reflects mobs killing you. Oh well. Here's her stats and pic in the dinner gear.

Little of This And That

made a plan to get on fot an hour to tweak my Maat macros with my new enfeebling torque. I need to put earth staff in macro too. Need to equip it when I kite.

So I log on and my plan failed. I decided to finish up the ZM mission Ark Angels. I went to choose my earring. I took the Abyssal one. It at least gives me Int +2 and dark magic +2. So I ran to Sky. Had a little
difficulty entering Romeave (however you spell it). Damn weapon want to aggro me as I zone in. I finally get in and anle to throw on a silent oil. That oil didn't last for squat. I rounded the wrong corner and it wore. Lucky I was able to cast sneak instead. That lasted the whole trip with me getting lost in the process.
I made it to the Hall if Gods and teleported to Sky. I took some pics and video with my phone, since we can't screen shot the experience. If this works well, I may take more videos from a real camera if I can do
the coordination.

After getting my ring, I mailed more stuff to TL, went to Jeuno and logged.

Playing FFXI on an iPad??

I think it's nearly 3 years that I have been playing this game. I'm not really sure; time passes really fast. So I have to ask myself, do I still enjoy the game? Even though I haven't been on consistently for I believe 6 months, I do. It's just that my life turned upside down with work. I miss the game, the chatter, the friends I've made. Since I been gone for so long I no longer get my fuzzy greetings I used to get. People I hung around surpassed me and are onto bigger and more end game stuff. Some people left and I didn't have a chance to say good bye.

As I was testing out mule, TL, 2 days ago, I was reminded of all the fun I had running around E Ronf, Latheine and the Dunes as a newbie to the game. I remembered all the missions I did. It was fun. Like a kid
who just got a brand new toy. Remember avoiding Battering Rams in Latheine. The Bogeys in Qufim. That was some heart pounding fun.

Now....my heart pounding comes from dealing with that old man. And it is not fun. It's rather frustrating. He irritates me soo much. My natural instincts is to avoid people or things that irritate me, but that old man will go down eventually. I'm not pressuring myself. The more pressure, the least likely I'm gonna win the fight. I need to be calm and relaxed. However, when I zone to he burning circle, my heart starts to race and my tummy gets all irritated. So much for pressure, right?

Now what frustrates me in the game is the drama of strong personalities. I try to be nice to everyone. No use of me being bitchy and difficult. It's unfortunately a small world on the server. Everyone knows who you are by seven degrees. Yeah, I forgot the saying, sue me. Anyway, but being bitchy and over dramatic. I really
don't want to hear about a person before I meet them. I like to form my own opinion. However, you have a tendency to like whomever your friends like a then you form a clique.

I've been in a lot of cliques during my time in the game. At one point it was Titen, Kirinkage and myself. Then it was Inchigo, Zeeone, Fawnaa and myself. Then Olibear and Oliphant joined us. Then it was just Inchigo and me. Then it was Ghostdawg and me. Then it was Kainbelmont, Frizzlefry and me. Then just Kain and me. But my most consistent clique member is my bro Kirinkage.

I try to do my job in the game well. I haven't really heard any bad feedback except for the person I blacklisted and that was not because I was not doing my job. He wasn't doing his. So I think I'm doing a
pretty good job at my role except for Maat and that's just a whole different ball game.

I do get bored with my job. That's when I'm forced to into a role where I'm just doing one thing over and over again. Boring. I chose RDM because of the versatility. It can fight, enfeeble, cure, and enhance. But I get around the hard times by thinking I'm helping out friends.

I absolutely hate soloing. I can only do about an hour of it. I'd rather duo or party. If I wanted to solo, I'd go play another game, right? Anyway, so much has happened and I'm not bored at all in this game. I just wish I had the same amount of time in the game as I used to. I will work out a way.

Meet TigerLeigh

So I've been playing for nearly 3 years and I am running out of room. I get a lot of Crystals. I really don't want to throw them out. I will eventually need them. I used to just sell them off but would have to purchase them when I needed them. I dob't want to waste my hard earned gil on Crystals that are free. I'd spend $1 for 60 slots on another character. That said....

Meet TigerLeigh.

I had thought about getting another Elvaan. Then I thought about Mithra. Hume and Galka just wasn't in the cards. I don't connect with them. I'm "Hume" in real life so why be one in game. No imagination. Galkas are male only. I'm not into cosplay are have any desire to pretend to be a man. So my options were Taru or Mithra. I chose Taru because they are just so darn cute. And it gives me a different perspective on the game.

TL is a THF. Not the typical mage job. I figured eventually I'd use her to farm items. That will be a long time from now though. I haven't accomplished enough with TK. So I decided to try her out. I ran out to the exit in Port Windurst to do a FOV page. I had to kill 6 Mandragora mobs. I find one and it seriously gave me a run for my money, but I beat it.

Second one was easy. The 3rd one had me use my 2hr to zone. I completely forgot that I have no subjob to help me cure my ass.

What was I thinking? So I stayed in the city. I'll finish another day. I went to collect the crystals I sent from TK. Then logged. I don't know when TL will have any adventures, but for now she's my permanent housekeeper.

Overthrowing The Weekend

I get onnpreparing to fix up my Maat macros. Instead I decided to go to Garlaige Citadel to give Romidant some experience. I haven't calledhim out in a while.

I checked my delivery box in Jeuno before I left and found my Wootz ore sold. It's not as high in price like it used to be. And when I exited the mog house in Port Jeuno my Tuku Whiteshells sold. I'm saving for my overpriced high level gear if I ever get high level. I will be selling all of my low level gear.

Anyway, I jumped off topic again. So I ran off to he Shitadel and met up wih Kirinkage. He was doing his sword trials there. We reach the basement. We party up and start killing. I called Romi out. He got
some new nice gear. Me likes. We kill beetles and pots. Romi leveled to 35 and Kirinkage's Nanako
leveled to 41. If you remember, we both got our NPCs together. He uses her more often than me.

While we were fighting, an old ls mate Lordbrax came on ls to see if anyone could help him with an HNM called Overlord Bag..., something. Big orc wearing gold. I said I would help him when I was finish what I was doing here and getting something to eat.

When all said and done, I go look for LB in Davoi. I get to where he is. It was not as bad getting there with
composure. I'd probably be kicking myself if I didn't have it on. The only familiar face besides LB was Zebrina. More people were coming. LB needed an alliance. Kirin came too when Earthsday was done.

Okay.... so this what had happened right. Lol. It was not the best group of people. Someone got trigger happy and got the HNM on us when we were not even prepared. Some people died, I zoned. Then some other
person got trigger happy again got 2 orcs and a regular NM. People died, I zoned. Now everyone is ready and prepared. They go grab HNM but got like 3 addons. Needless to say, people died, I zoned.

While people were resting, I got mom aggro. I come back and they decide to fight further inside. I don't know if I liked the idea. I mean it was further from zone. So I meet hem at the new camp. Before anyone can say "hi" someone aggro'd the HNM. However, this time we ended up killing HNM and his addons. I was hoping that it would drop a piece of Rianbow cloth but it didn't drop anything worthwhile. So I warped home after fight and logged.

Sun:
I get on just for dynamis. It was Xarcabard. The run went pretty well. I only died once. Just as I was heading off, BLM and PLD relic dropped. After I completely shutdown the RDM relic hat dropped. Shadee actually got it. I wouldn't even got it if I was still playing. Oh well. Congrats Shadee.

Summoning Powers Activate

So after sleeping late and diddle dallying around the house, I decided to see what I can get into on game. Was going to see if any low level parties was taking place. If there wasn't any, then I was going to get my earring from yesterdays ZM mission and do the next one. I figured I'd get tge Abyssal earring since it at least have 2 stats I can use.

I said hello to linkshell and asked what folks were doing. I was already on SMN when I logged in. Houshisama said he was in Qufim doing Trio party, level 24. I asked if My SMN could join. They said sure.
Yippee!!!

I op to Qufim immediately and joined the party. It was Solesiren as PLD, Frizzlefry as WHM/SMN, Houshisama as WAR/NIN. Frizzle left to change to BST/NIN. We had a powerleveler, Kirinkage. Sole left for dinner and Frizz replaced her with a guy named Mistictaru, a WHM/BLM. I leveled twice before I had to dash off for Dynamis. So I'm currently sitting at level 28 with a buffer.

So I make my way to Bastok where dynamis is taking place. I dropped the party I was in, in order to seek for a dyna party. Boy did I get yelled at by Frizzy. He was going to use the nexus cape to get to Bastok. He should've told me that before I disbanded. I am not a mind reader, lol. The ls was also looking for a new sackholder because one of the sacks no longer attends. I threw my name in if they needed. So did Kirin and 3 others. So the leaders will choose sometime this week. My feelings will not be hurt if I don't become a sack. I'm am just willing to help if needed. One thing though, I do try to make dynamis if I can't play at all for the week.

So we got a lot of new people in shell tonight. For a while they were placing me in the BLM party (so much fun). Then I ended up in a party with another RDM (Chayst) and a WHM. Chayst was in charge of Phalanx 2
for party and refreshing the BLU. I was in charge of Haste for the party and refreshing the WHM. We both silenced the scorpions. So this run was going sprectacularly until we got to 2nd to last NM before the Mega Boss. Died I believe 4 times. However this run I got my first piece of relic for SMN. I only spent 5 points for them. They are the gloves. More motivation for me to get SMN up and get RDM to 75.

I really should concentrate on my Maat fight!!!!

Mighty Divine

So i made no plans to get on game today. I had a really late night last night. Didn't come home until 4 am this morning. All I wanted to do was nap all day. So I am laying down on my couch trying to take a nap when my brother thunders upstairs telling me they are doing "Divine Might/Ark Angels" ZM mission. I said it's okay, I'll get it another time. He left me alone.

I fall asleep again. Don't know for how long, but my brother, came thundering upstairs again and wakes me up about this mission again. I grumbled at him saying, leave me alone I'm sleeping. I turn my back to him and he leaves again.

I fall back asleep but for how long? I don't know. My brother came back to wake me up about the mission for the 3rd time!!! This is becoming an annoying pattern. So I said fine, I get up off of my couch and head to my bedroom where my PS3 is located, and turned on the game. I run to Sky where the mission takes place. Before I get there, I had to get ready. More like wake up.

I op to Zi'tah. I am running to Ro'maeve (however you spell it). As I'm running, I read in chat "Bastet casts Shock". WTH?!? I didn't think that was for me. I didn't hear an aggro sound. So I keep running. The shock spell didn't hurt me. I am still making my way to Ro, then my chat filter read "Bastet casts Thundaga III". Once again I was not injured. But now I actually believe this mob is after me. I never get aggro'd in Zi'tah!!!! I decide I wasn't going to fight and continued on running. My bro kept telling me to turn and look at what this mob is. I had no intention of doing that. It must be an NM to aggro me. I am still running when it cast Burst on me. That one did hurt me. That means he's catching up to me. I continue to run. He managed to get 2 more spells off before I zoned: choke and thundaga III again.

I am now in Ro'maeve. I had my bro come direct me to hall of gods. I get to Sky, get my cut scene and make my way to the group. They put me in the BLM party. We got 18 people to do this mission. We start this mission. We have to fight 5 crystal versions of the races of Vana'diel. I died 2 or 3 times. But in the end, we won. Everyone ran to get their earrings. I just warped back to Windy. I didn't know what earring I wanted. I have to do some research on it. I went back to my couch and finished my nap.

I woke sometime later and found the game on still. So I decided to see if anyone wanted to duo with me. Chayst said he would. But when I arrived in Qufim, He said he needed to do some BCNMs first. So I op
back to Windy and logged off. I hate soloing.

Kirinkage Set New Record on PLD

Saturday:
What to do? I want to play but not quite ready for Maat. Need some more experience before I try again. Get my bearings on RDM again, you know. So I have 2 subs to work on for RDM: NIN and BLM. Both are level 12. However, BLM is not as dire as NIN. So my bro suggested we duo
NIN. I said fine.

As I was changing jobs a ls member, Chayst, was looking for a level 11/12 party in the dunes. I said yes of course. So did Kirin. I had to hunt for gear for my NIN. I had only level 8 gear but I need a little
bit better gear. I found some adequate gear in my storage, but it was only for my legs feet, back, hands and waist. Needed a body. So I put on my level 1 body and ran to AH to buy a body piece and some Shi-Hei
to use for my shadows. I look like I have leotards on.

I'm showing and extreme amount of legs. Worse than when I was wearing my AF legs without body on my RDM. I got a top but no Shi-Hei. Kirinkage said
he'll pick me some up.

Now I just have to get to the Dunes. As I was making preparations on getting to the dunes, a dyna ls buddy, Ryuhlu sent me a tell. So I invited him to party. He wanted to come SAM. So I change to WHM and
tele'd myself to Holla while I was naked. Didn't feel like bringing any extra clothes with me. I jump on a chocobo to Dunes. As I was riding, I saw a pixie.

You don't usually see them in the present. Only in the past.

I make it to Selbina and changed back to NIN. I so love Tonko: Ichi. I am able to run the Dunes to camp while invisible. Yay! No Leechers to mess with me. I meet up with Kirinkage and Solesiren at the opening to
cave to lizard camp. We have to fight the bats on the way thru tunnel. We all meet up at the book by zone to Konschtat. The party was as follows: me NIN/DNC, Chayst SAM/DNC, Ryuhlu SAM, Solesiren PLD/WAR, Kirinkage NIN/WAR and a person named Enjo as WHM. So we level sync when everyone gets here. We grab page 2 from Fov book and start killing.

After a while we changed camps, then Kirin and Sole had to leave but we got replacements: Drizzy THF and Kingbobby COR. Ryuhlu came back as PLD. By this time I was already level 14. Was working to get 15.
Time was growing short and we changed camps once again. We got another page from book: crabs and flies. We were taking on crabs at oasis. Then King dc'd on us. So we decided to try one fly to see if we could
manage it. It nearly killed us. So we called it a night. I didn't get 15 but I only needed 400 exp to get it.

Sunday:
I get on early to get my 15 on NIN. I asked ls if anyone wanted to duo but I get no response so I head out to Giddeus. As I was running there, the LS started harping and ganging up on a friend of mine, Sbrightblade (SBB). They were messing with him, calling him names and all sorts of things. I did not like it at all. It really bothered me. Now most of the people who were harping on them didn't even know him. Granted SBB is a huge, I mean HUGE, flirt. You really can't take him seriously. He's a nice guy to me and has helped me out a lot. He says hello to me all the time and we have convos all the time. He's never really done or said anything obscebe to me. I believe I met him within the 1st month of playing this game and I have written about him too. But it all stems from one person in LS who doesn't get along within to get a pack mentality going. I don't like
that kind of mess or drama. I say if you have a problem with a person let it stay with you and let everyone else make their own judgements on that person. This whole convo turned my tummy and start looking at everything without blinders on. I still like my LS, but did not like this crap at all.

Anyway, I digress. I reached Giddeus in no time at all. I started killing yags at the start but something wasn't right. My exp was not moving. I noticed this about the 8th yag I killed. So I checked the next one. It was Too Weak to Be Worthwhile. LMAO. So I made my way to the open area in the south where te yags read Easy Prey. Within couple of kills I finally leveled to 15. Yeah baby, 22 more levels to go. So I decided to make a cushion so if I die I won't level down. So that's more killing. Then I got myself into a bad predicament. I went to kill one yag and I was ambushed!! 4 others joined the fight. So of course I died. But where I died I was still surrounded by yags. I had to wait until their backs were turned to raise. I immediate cast Tonko and ran
for my life. I sat and rested. I didn't lose too much exp and I had a cushion still. I made my way back to my mog house because my mom and I were heading to Home Depot. When I got to my mog house I changed into my RDM for Dynamis then op'd to Beaucedine.

I left my character there for dynamis and left for the depot.

I return to game just in time for dynamis. I was put in BLM party. We were going for win. I died 4 times towards the end. We were getting the last NMs before boss. This is where it gets hilarious. So a wyverm
was beating up on my party member so I healed her and was killed by said wyverm. As I died, one of the NMs that was awake charmed everyone except for Crim. So everyone was aimed to take Crim down. The scene was hilarious. You see Crim running for his life and a massive group of characters in a bunch chasing him and then behind him the NM was following. It was f'in hilarious. Man I was in stitches. I tried to take screenshots of it but the pic I got they were too far away to really see it.

My boy, Frizzlefry, died more times that I could count, and always in middle of me casting a spell. However, dying 4 times, I never lost any exp. I have the same exp that I came in with. I didn't get any raise 3s. Just my standard Reraise 1. Wonder if it was a glitch or if squeenix changed something. Oh well, whatever it was, it was great for me.

Dual Wielding Bad Ass

I get on without any intentions. I wanted to relax a bit. I debated whether to level my NIN or BLM. They are both subs I need to level. Bah! They don't appeal to me, but hey I have to level them to 49 now.

I decided to go NIN. I gear up. I figured I'd learn my spell, Tonko:Ichi, so I can free up space in my Mog Safe. So I head out to east Sarutabaruta after I went to AH to get tools for Tonko. I make my way to West Sarutabaruta to the OP. I kill stuff on the way. I get a page and start knocking more mobs off. Mobs were getting too easy so I decided to head to Giddeus. I wish there was a FOV book in there. So I head down the beginning passages & tunnels taking out both Yags & Worms.

I was going to try one of the open rooms. I checked a Yag from tunnel & it read as Tough. So that was a bad idea. So I continue where I was and then my bro, Kirinkage, decided he wanted to come powerlevel me. I said sure. So when he met up w/ me in Giddeus, we decided to try the Toughs.

So this is what went down. I see one lone Yag standing by the ledge. I decided to take it on. Then next you know, as I started attack, 7 more yags from on top of the ledge joined in the fun. I thought I was going to die!!!!!! My bro is curing. I'm doing Drain Samba. Using my second weapon skill. The one that paralyzes. Man it was an amazing battle. Little ole me was taking on 8 yags and surviving with help of a powerleveler. My chat screen was all yellow. I capped my katana skills during the whole battle.

The battle ended with the yags dead by my katanas. But I was mortally wounded. So I needed to heal. I put on Tonko: Ichi and rested. Then it happened. I got "Mom Aggro". She called me. So I thought it was going to be quick. Then she told me to sit down. That was a very bad sign. She not only called me, but my bro too. Tonko don't last very long & I was hoping she would speak faster. But she kept on talking. I told her about the game & she gave me the "look". You must always obey the look, no matter how old you are, lol.

When she finished, I ran to see how dead I was. Yep, I was D.E.D. dead. Thank goodness I had FOV reraise on. I rose & ran to the tunnel. I have 16 HP to my name & a damn worm decided to aggro me. But since I'm such a bad ass, I killed it and didn't lose a HP. Once I got back to full HP unweakened, I got my ass out of Giddeus to FOV to make up the exp that I lost because of Mom Aggro. I stopped when I leveled to 12.

Kirin suggested I go grab Utsusemi: Ichi. So I change back to RDM, traded some items for fame. Then I went toNorg tostart quest then trapsed around Sea Serpent Grotto. I finish the quest and headed back to Windy after I finish learning the scroll.

Imps To The Rescue

Yes I know imps are the worst enemy to deal with but let me tell you how they came to my rescue before you think I'm nuts.

See, my experience points had went to shit after my attempts at getting a Joyeus sword and doing dynamis. I went from 23k to 9k. I refuse to leveldown to 69. I absolutely refuse!!!!! I asked my linkshell if anyone wanted a party. I didn't get a response, so I put my flag up. Yes I put it up. I haven't partied in ages. Let's see if I remember how to.

So I get 2 invites; a level 70 and a level 55. So I chose the level 70 party because I knew the level 55 one would be fighting those God awful Colibris. The level 70 party was in Caedvra Mire. As usual, trying to head to camp I aggro an imp and had to zone. Finally made it to camp to find out the party make up as follows: SCH, NIN, SAM, THF and BLU.

This party was great. In 2 hours I got my exp back to 28k. That's more than I had when I originally leveled. That was hot!!! People had to leave so the party broke up. It was great!!! I had a good time. I was a bit rusty at first but I warmed up quickly.

Now to concentrate on Maat if I can.

New areas have been made accessible in past Vana'diel.

New Wings of the Goddess missions have been added.

New in-game content "Trial of the Magians" has been added.

"Trial of the Magians" is the title given to a new quest series designed especially for level 75 characters.

To initiate a quest in Trial of the Magians, players must speak with the "Magian Moogle" NPC located at H-5 in the Ru'Lude Gardens.

Several new quests, including those granting the ability to summon the new avatars, Alexander and Odin, have been added.

The following changes have been made to Moblin Maze Mongers:

* The reward for completing the Aquatic Depopulation Team objective has been adjusted.

New hunt objectives have been added to Hunt Registries.

New fish varieties have been added for the quest "Inside the Belly."

To view certain event replay scenes in the "Saga of the Skyserpent" quest, players must now go to the Wajaom Woodlands (M-7) instead of Aht Urhgan Whitegate (E-8).

Battle-related

The distribution of certain monsters has been adjusted in the following area:

The following changes have been made to Campaign:

* The following areas may now host Campaign Battles:

* New Campaign decorations have been unlocked, and new items obtainable by trading Allied Notes added.

* New Campaign Ops have been added.

* Player evaluation for completing a Campaign Ops objective has been adjusted.

* The strength of the Shadowsoul Battalion has been adjusted.

Several new Notorious Monsters have been added.

To accommodate this addition, the new NPC "Assai Nybaem" has been posted to the Ru'Lude Gardens (G-10).

*Players wishing to battle the new set of Notorious Monsters added this version update should speak to this NPC.

The depop conditions for the following Notorious Monsters have been adjusted:

The repop counter has been shortened for Notorious Monsters spawned via the "???" targets in the following locations:

* The puppetmaster's level will now be factored into the extent that maneuvers enhance automaton stats.

*The rate of enhancement will be adjusted for when puppetmaster is used as a support job, or when a level restriction is in place.

* The effects of the following attachments have been adjusted:

* The performance of automaton frames has been adjusted.

*This choice will not affect the benefits received from the walk itself.

The following changes have been made to the "A Crystalline Prophecy", "A Moogle Kupo d'Etat", and "A Shantotto Ascension" add-on scenarios:

From Jeuno to Bastok: A Traveler's Life

I have been on 3 times in he past 2 weeks are so. I didn't do a whole lot when I did get on.

Day1:
I wouldn't really call this a game day. My bro ran up to tell me that Windy owned Qufim. Since I figured I wasn't gonna be on until Sunday for dynamis I would miss the opportunity. I ran on the game and did he supply run to Qufim.

Day 2:
I needed another a new testimony to fight the "old man." So I enlisted the help of Kirinkage, my bro. I was planning on going to Sky to farm one up, but my bro missed Sky run that day because I had him working for me. So we couldn't go to Sky. We ended up in Delkfutt Tower in
Qufim. I pulled the whole time. I didn't get a multiple pull like I did precious times. I did get aggro'd by a giga. This run went pretty smoothly though. I did raise a guy who got aggro'd by at least 5 mobs. I got my testimony in a decent amount of time.

After I got testimony, I ran to Jeuno went selling stuff to NPCs. I logged out in Jeuno.

Day 3:
Kirin and myself decided to finish the synergy quest we started a month or so ago. So we meet up in Bastok and choco to Palborough Mines. We had to mine some sand and turn it into some "mythril" something of anoher. Then we took the boat in the Mines to take us back to Bastok
really quickly. We finished the quest in Metalworks. So now I can synergize gear. However you do that? I hope I got some more fame in Bastok.

I somehow got convinced to farm. I was planning on partying to practice my skills and get exp that I lost from Charybis. Or I was going to campaign at least for exp. But I alas there I was in Zi'Tah killing bats and gobbues. I did bring my NPC out. He lasted so short because my bro was killing way too fast. Romidant did not level but he was using the weapon I bought him. At end of the night, I believe I made like 20-30k. Not bad. I have 60 slots so a lot of room for goods.

This is pitiful how busy I've been. I am so sorry for lapses in my
posts. I didn't even celebrate my 200th post. Didn't know that I hit
this milestone. Will there be another 100 posts? Possibly.

I have not grown unintersted in FFXI. With the new stuuf happening to
the game, I'm excited to get to 99. That is if I get to 75, but that's
another story.

I am trying to get one of my real-life to join the game. I gave him a
free 30 day trial paperwork. My bro offered him in game money to join.
How about that? He offers money to my friend and not me; his own flesh
and blood.

After April 15th, hopefully I will be back in full force. Then again,
maybe not. My mom is coming up for 6 weeks starting the end of his
month.

Three By One

So it's been an interesting week. It had it's ups and downs. More downs though. FFXI has not been very kind to me in a month. While my bro, Kirinkage, has been making out like a bandit. There's no jealousy there, but I think my good fortune has wore off since I've been so busy.

Camping:
So I decided since that day that Cablevison dc'd me on my way to get Charybdis for my Joyeus sword, that I was going to concentrate on getting the sword. So this is how it went down.

1st try: went to camp and I needed help because the window was close. Titen didn't come to help because of a mix up in discussion. He can't be straight forward in any reply. So I had Kirin (PLD), Frizzlefry (PLD), Crazyone (THF) and Minibasta (BRD) with me. So Charby popped and this lone character took claim. He died. However, we got 2nd claim, we all wiped. Me more than everyone else. Then first guy claimed again and died. Then we did again. We wiped again. This time Charby is just standing around while we are healing. So this Motherf----r named Caldor came in and wanted Charby too but since he came alone, how could he claim and keep Charby wihout his party? Guess, he MPK'd us!!!!! We are sitting getting back our health so he gets aggros a Devil Manta, pulls it towards us and lets it do an aoe. We all died again. This time I didn't have my reraise up because I needed MP. So Kirin hp'd and came back and raised me. Needless to say
by time we all were being raised and healed, Caldor's party arrived and were killing Charby. We were hoping they would fail but it was impossible. For a person to MPK players is the same type of person who
hang out with botters and RMTers. So one person in his party was definitely using some type of program because they were casting shadows as they are being hit. Impossble!!! They didn't even need to be healed. So we got TOD and left. But not without Mini flipping them off.

2nd try: I go to camp again with Kirin (PLD). Ishida (PLD) came too. Titen (NIN) was going to join us and then Phaet (BRD) came too. So we kill placeholders until Charby pops. Then it happened, another party
comes to camp. So it's down to who claims first. We were ever vigilant in our stake out. Alas, when Charby came we were too slow for claiming. I smeezed at the moment of materialization. Kirin's flash was too slow. So we stayed to get TOD again. This time we left disappointed but not pissed off. They were honorable and didn't do illegal tactics.

So I'm beginning to think that I'm just not destined to get a Joyeus. I want that sword tho. It would be my last sword in game.

Maat:
So I decided to concentrate on Maat now. Since I can't get gear or swords, I decided to wet my hands again in getting my Maat fight done. This is my new mission among other missions.

So I buy my supplies I need and run off to face the old man. Since I'm a bit rusty, I get him to half way and was defeated. Sigh.... This old man is just a pain in my ass. I need a new testimony.

Leveling:
I decided I was going to level SMN some more. I get my first party in Yuhtungha Jungle. It was a LS party. It was Chayst (PLD), Frizzle (SAM), Solesiren (NIN), and a DNC (2 separate people). I was primary healer. Once I leveled to 25, SMN is hhe hottest shit around. With autorefresh, Carby is 100% free and I'm getting mp back to full. By the end of the party, I got 3-4 new avatar abilities and I gained a significant chunk into level 26.

Farming:
Went to sky with Lordkaosu. He was helping me get a new RDM testimony. We killed like 5 pots without a drop. He had to leave so I left when he did. I guess I'll get it from Beaudeaux when I go get my magicite
for Windy mission 4-1.

Dynamis:
What can I say? I went to dynamis. I haven't made up my mind yet. We did Jeuno on Sunday. This run was Kirin's first time as Main Tank. That was pretty cool. We had a first wipe at the beginning. We then I get into an argument with a guy in my party who refused to sit and heal while we were all weak. He expected to drain all my MP to cure him. That was not gonna happen. I throw him a cure 3. He died again really quick of course. He wants to be inconsiderate to the rest of our party and to me. I don't roll like that. He has to learn somehow. Why is it everyone else in the whole 2 alliances are resting but he's the dumbass still standing eating food.

Anyway, I digress. After the argument, they killed a mob wjlho dropped my gear, Duelist's Tights. It ended up being a lot battle between me and Hyolee. I WON!!!! I got my 2nd piece of gear!!! The rest of the
night 2 more duelist tights dropped, 3 blm pants dropped - 2 going to free lot and 1 whm gear dropped. Mnk, rng, and something else dropped. But it definitely was mages night.

This has been my week in review.

Some things that bother the crap out of me in the game:

#1 - If we in a party (no matter where and what event) and we wipe, when you get raise, sit down and heal like the rest of the party! Don't stand and expect me to waste all my MP to cure your ass!!!!!!! If that's how you're gonna play, I'm gonna leave your ass in the red!!!!!

#2 - If we in a tight spot where we need invisible and sneak, don't be cheap!! Bring your Own!! Making the mage constantly drop ours to put on yours, leads to death for us. Be considerate and bring your own.

#3 - Be prepared for events. Know what you need and what is to be done when you show up. Don't just depend on others. That's how you slow us down. We all have time constraints. Don't make all of us suffer for your incompetence. Be a boy or girl scout and be prepared!!!

Level Cap Increase & New Stuff

So Sqeenix is raising the level caps to 99. What does this do for me? Absolutely nothing unless they make this damn RDM Maat fight easier. Just longer to get to cap.

They also changing merit structure, adding 2 new avatars (Alexander & Odin) and new battle scenarios in the March update.

The new avatars can only be used in Astral Flow, lame. They giving RDM debuffs to other jobs, WTF!!! All the gear we have been fighting, slaving and begging over will be considered end game gear any longer.

Lots of people are upset. I'm not too upset yet until I see all the workings in action.

If this is necessary, your character name on the character selection screen before login will be displayed in yellow. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the change.

Changing the character name will not affect data such as your Friends List.

Items stored in the Delivery Box or Auction House:
Items and gil stored in the Delivery Box or Auction House will be deleted automatically when the World Merge takes place. Please move them to your character's belongings or Mog Safe before the World Merge.

Please note that items and gil lost in the merge cannot be restored through the Item Restoration service.

Linkshell, Pearlsack and Linkpearl:

To Be or Not To Be

That is the question. Should I continue Dynamis or take a break from it? It just seems that I will never get gear. I'll cap and no longer get points and still not get gear. And at that point, it will be a waste of my time. I don't want to give my exp all the time without getting anything out of it. I show up most Sundays. I'm early. Been dedicated to the shell. But why be dedicated when I'm not getting anything out of it?

Would you go to work if you didn't get paid? Even if you like all the people at your job? Would you go? I do like the people in dynamis. But would people do dynamis if there wasn't any gear drops? No. So why attend if you get nothing from it?

This has been running thru my mind since, once again, I lost out to get a piece of gear again tonight. I bid, but of course when it was way too late, I get told to bid. The piece random dropped to someone who didn't want it. People were nice and sent me tells saying they were sorry about the situation. It was sweet of them. But at this point, I'm kind of disheartened about dynamis and gear.

Whether it was by accident or not, I'm just tired of the exp sink and the not getting gear. If I have the points and I bid the highest I should lot the gear. I understand that I'm not going to get the head until I'm 75 but the other gear is fair game. Not everyone wants all of the pieces of their relic. But every RDM wants the hat.

At this point, I'm just venting. I don't know what I'm going to do yet. Looking for any words of wisdom right now. I'm just a bit disheartened. I need some positivity.

Trials of Life

Life has really been keeping me busy, my friends. So I will try to post weekly instead of each time I play. I really can't keep up with posting like that. Maybe after April 15th. ~.-

Dynamis:
We did dynamis Xarcabard on Sunday past. It was not a great run. Only great thing happened was that the RDM hat dropped twice. Of course I didn't get any. My usual thing. My only displeasure with dyna. Undercover RDMs outbid me all the time. If I actually knew how many
RDMs there are I could make a decent bid. I know other LS says you can bid on your main job gear first.

Anyway, because of he RDM hat drop drama happened in LS. 3 people left the shell over the 1st drop. If they just calmed down they could've had the second drop. Oh well, impatience does not reward. Trust me I know this by heart.

The most horrendic part of he night was that I died like 5 times. I was in DD party where I was only curing (no one needed refresh :D). Died twice in that party. Then they made me go to tank party where I had to heal and refresh all. In that party, died 3 times. I hate dying on my RDM lately.

Farming:
Trying to do the next Gobbie quest and there are 2 items that I need: iolite and HQ eft skin. I know I can farm both of them. So I decided to farm the eft skin first. Titen asked if he could help. I said sure. So I assumed he would be a THF/NIN or /DNC so I didn't /THF. A 75 THF is 20 times better than THF 15, you think?

Anyway, I meet him at Bibiki Bay. He's wearing orange!!! Not a very good sign. THFs are green!! He came orange which meant he was MNK/DNC. Damn it! That means we will be at this until I
wear out or get frustratingly bored. We annihilate the place, no HQ eft skin. We attained regular eft skin. Bah!! I'll cough up the gil, unless I get a THF 75 to help me out.

Maat
Haven't tried him sorry.

Leveling
I leveled my BLM to 12. I duo'd with Naquel. Haven't seen him in a while. He's no longer in my LS. He apparently ruffles some people's feathers but he don't bother me at all. I get along with everyone. Ok, mostly everyone.

We worked 2 FOV pages and made our way thru Giddeus. I was lacking gear for my BLM when we started, but I got free gear from the Yags there. Yay for free gear!! I did die once though. Had to HP and run back. Naq and I were the squishy team. He was WHM/BLM and I was the opposite. He didn't die at all.

Fame
Been trying to work the quests, but it's just not easy man. I am still in middle of synergy quest for Bastok and a quest regarding smooth stone for Windy. Getting cornettes or other items for Windy fame are not easy as for Norg. I kill every Mandragora type mob I see. I also plan on doing the quests for Tele-Mea, Tele-Dem and Drain. I believe they all are for Windy.

Missions
Haven't tried COP 3-5 again and I did start mission 4-1 Windy. Lordkaosu moved to Windy now, so maybe we can get Rank 10 together. We'll see. People like leaving me behind since I'm not on a lot.

It's About Time....... Right?

Okay it's been a while that I have posted. This is my busy season as I stated before. Taxes and such, yay! So much for my gaming life. I'm going to break up my adventures in categories that way you can get a gist what I've been up to. There can be days in between but I'm summizing what has occurred.

Maat:
I decided to try my luck at Maat again after a hiatus of trying. Itdidn't go so swell. Normally I'm close to a win, but this try was likemy first couple of runs. The minute he saw me, he didn't sleep and he thundered me and asurian fist me. Instant death. I was trying the strategy to run in sleep him then put on my buffs. This way he didn't put on any of his buffs. Well it was a great thought that didn't come into fruition.

COP:
We tried to do mission 3-5. We got Zannon and Frizzlefry to help us(me, Kirinkage, Lordkaosu and Solesiren). Our other member Gunrockwent ahead and did 3-5 the day we all did 3-3. We tried him like 5
times. We nearly won once. Sole and Kirin both fell when the floor fell away during fights. We would've tried again but most of thepeople had to go to Sky. Next time we try, we need 2 DRKs instead of one. Or a BLU. Anyone with Stun ability. Diabalos is pretty tough. But at least he's one person and not 3.

Leveling:
I leveled BLM to 10. I now have some intereztig spells to work with now. My BLM will be a bit gimp because I am not buying/questing anyaga spells. I may just get sleepga only. Job is only going to 37. I want retrace & warps only. Only reason I'm leveling it as a sub. That and not having to be main healer in some parties.

Skill Ups:
Been FOV'in in Terrigan with Titen while leveling Romidant. First time with Titen, he had to run to camp a turtle in Valley of Sorrows. I decided to try a bunny. Hey if I was able to handle a crab on my own, I should be able to handle a bunny right? Wrong. I had to call for help. Romidant was doing better than myself. I also think my downfall in that fight was I was not paying 100% attention to the fight. I had like 3 people sending me tells and my ls was heating up with good chatter.

The second time we were able to do 2 pages. Romi leveled to 34 (yes, Idon't level him often). My sword skill reached 203 and I learned Vorpal Blade weaponskill; even though I can't use it as a RDM. Titen said that my sword will cap at 250. 47 levels to go.

Fame:
Been doing quests here and there trying to get fame, but it's moving slowly. Items for repeat quests aren't dropping. I started Synergy quest with Kirin. We never completed the quest though. I will probably get Diabalos before I get Ramuh, Ifrit, Titan and Fenrir. We do know Fenerir was going to be last anyway. Have to do fights over again. For all the standard avatars except Diabolos. I will probably help Kakida with Shiva and Garuda to get those whispers.

Dynamis:
Haven't done dynamis in 2 weeks. Last Sunday was Qufim and I don't have access yet. The last one I believe I did was Xarcabard. Again, I didn't get anything since my gloves in Bastok. Oh well. Today there isn't any dynamis because of the Super Bowl. Hopefully at next run Ican get a piece of gear for RDM or SMN. And maybe I'll pass 3-5 by then too.

Now we come to depressing news. My internet is wonky. I am losing packets. So over past week or so we'vr been getting Dc'd a lot. So Cablevision is coming again to try to solve the issue.

Chasm of Hell

So today is our weekly COP mission. It's time to tackle 3-3. We knew this one was going to be a long pain in the ass mission. We had to hit all 3 nations plus do some ex tenuous work out in the field. So I gathered everyone in San D where mission starts. I use my collar to quickly get to San D. I run off to N San D when I got party together. Lordkaosu and Kirinkage was there already. We had to wait for Gunrock.
So we did all the cut scenes needed in San D. I miss that place. The story line for this leg of the mission was a fact finding mission mixed with a bible class. Not so much interesting. We had to go to Carpenter's Landing to spawn and kill an NM and talk to a man. It was pretty boring. When cut scene done, we had to go back to San D one last time. I figured I could use my collar again. I find out that I couldn't while everyone warped. I was the only Windy resident. So I had to warp back to Windy. I actually got to use my Nexus cape for the first time. I also needed to get a warp cudgel because for the life of me, I couldn't find the one I already have. So while everyone was trying to find their way to Windy, I bought 2 cudgels. When I was ready to use one, I noticed that there was 3 in my inventory. Oh wow, I bought and extra for nothing.
I warped back to Windy and started the cut scenes. This story line by far is the funniest I've encountered in the game. It was all "who's my daddy" drama with Tarus. They say cats breed a lot with whomever, but these tarus man. They be siring offspring and running away.
So after the cut scene we had to go to Attowha Chasm. Never been there before. None of us has a map so we have to depend on directions from wiki.

So we start running looking for loose sand. I get lost from pack because of Internet issues and looking at laptop for directions. So I am lost and pissed off. Easy way to piss me off is to get me lost. Lk had to come get me. I got item needed. They had already spawned and killed NM. Now here comes the fun. You have half an hour to get the item up the mountain. Not as easy as it sounds.
We run around looking for the ramp up he mountain. All the while internet is threatening to DC me and Kirin. After 10-15 mins we find the itty bitty ledge we had to use. When I say itty bitty, if you make one sudden incorrect move you fall. So that was happening a lot to us. We ran out of time so we had to go get key item again. The problem now is we couldn't find our way back to loose sand again. We finally found it and got item and we added Ferrok to the party. Then we try to find ledge again.
We find it. I tell Kirin not to leave me like they all did before. So I'm following Kirin up the ledge when guess what?!?!? I dc'd. Then Kirin dc'd. That means we have to get the damn item again when we get back on. So when Kirin and I finally make it back online we had to get a new item again. However, when we got back, Ferrok needed a new crystal too. So we all (except Gunrock who found his way to the top) went to try again up the mountain. I make good, but Oboro needs to go. He was in the way. By this time Titen joined our party. He was coming to help us. Then Ferrok got in my way for a minute. Then guess what!?!?!? I frickin' fall. I screamed. My bro heard me 2 flights down. Had to start all over again. Told them to wait so I can find my way to them. When I caught up with them, we managed to make it all the way to the top in time. I get my new 3 items. We all just warped to Windy for cut scenes.
Then last leg of this mission was in Bastok. Luckily, the explorer moogle is out so we get to use it. Yay! Got last cut scene in Bastok and high tailed my ass back to Windy. I am done for the night. Let's put this way, we started this mission at 7 pm. It is now 12:30 am. Good 2.5 hours were spent in Attowha. I have grown a large distaste for this area just from doing this mission.
My feelings: WTH was SE thinking on this mission. There was no way in hell we would've found the slope up the damn mountain. There was not any type of signifier showing that you could climb. They really made this mission nearly unreasonable. I hate this one now more than the memmets fight. The map of this place is worst than the Elshimo maps. I heard that SE tamed down COP missions, but judging from 2-5 & 3-3, the whole COP series is going to have me cursing and pissed off. Makes me wonder if I want to continue doing COP until the end. I didn't get to take too many pics this run. I forgot to take pic in Carpenter's Landing. I only took pics of the entrance to Attowha because after the second pic above, getting pissed off and lost was more prevalent.

Soaring Thru Sky

So this weekend was pretty good. It's been a bit a good ride since I've been back. So I was able to get on twice this weekend.
Friday: I get on with the attention of taking on the old man. However, Darksday just ended when I logged on. Damn it. I wanted to fight him while I had momentum from the COP mission win. What am I to do? My COP guys were not available. So no continuation on those missions.
I decided to FOV in Buburimu with my SMN. I am seriously lacking tabs. As I've stated before, I'm a lazy Elvaan. I like to move around quickly. So I was talking to friends thru tells. Kakida decided to join me again. This time, he came as BST. So we chose page 4 from the field book. We knocked that out pretty well. We then decided to try page 5. We had to kill Pugils and Goblins We headed to the first beach. We got 2 gobs and 1 pugil here.

We then headed to he hidden beach. We messed with one pugil. It killed carby and Kakida's pet and smacked me so hard that I died. Thank goodness for reraise. Kakida had to zone into Bibiki Bay. After we rested up, we went back to killing pugils. We took out 2 more. I had to use Garuda and Shiva on them. They hit harder, but suck more mp. Then we decide to tackle the last pugil needed. I took out Carby again. Why did the scenario from before happen again?
Well I died again. And I leveled down. When did I level up? Kakida had to zone again. This time he decided to zone to Mhaura. I just stayed down and waited for Kirinkage to come raise me. As I was waiting some random Taru came thru and raised me. I got my level back. So I am now 24.
Kakida asked to do another page. The trick now was that I had to get to Mhaura to get the new page. So I called out Carby, my bodyguard. So I head into tunnel right smack into a gob. I left Carby to take care of him. I continued to run. As I exit tunnel, I ran right into another gob. So now I just run and hope I can make it to Mhaura. Luckily I do. Ah, the pleasures of lowlevels; running for your life.
Kakida and I decided to tackle page 4 again to be safe. Towards the end, I was getting really really sleepy. So we finished the page and killed random stuff so Kakida could get his level. The funny thing happened when I was trying to OP back home. Kakida made it home before me, but everytime I try to talk to NPC, the event keeps getting cancelled. Why? Kakida's pet started to attack me since Kakida left. And then. Spook joined in. I had to call for help. I was not about to die. 2 people came to my rescue. The second person had to call for help too, lol. I thanked both people and OP'd.
Sunday: I get on with a Maat attention. This time I have 3 days until Darksday. So what can I do to kill 3 days? I can get the ZM 14 mission done. Who can help me? I got my buddy Ghostdawg to help. He was not doing anything. So I make my way to Rabao for cutscene and started heading to Quicksand Caves. Then I get lost and pissed. Didn't know how to get to this special area of Quicksand and the darn Wiki didn't tell you that you'd had to go thru some tunnel to get there. I was very agitated by time I found my way.
Ghost was already there waiting for me. Then we ran to fight. I triggered and we got our asses handed to us. So we died. Kirinkage said he'll come help. However, Ghost said to try again. This it time we kicked the mob's ass. I got my item but I forgot my warp. So I had to find my way out of Quicksand Caves myself. Ghost left me by myself. It was a pretty fast out, to my surprise. Thought I'd died before I'd get out of there alive. Once I got back into West Altepa I ran back to Rabao to talk to NPC again. Then I choco'd to OP to get back home. During the fight, though, Darksday came and left, lol.
So I just OP'd to Zi'Tah to get to Ro'Meave to finish off Sky access. I run off to the Hall of gods and got my access. Yippee. I can do more end game if I want to.

So we had Dyna Xarcabard tonight. It went ok. Died twice. It was kind of boring. No RDM drops. If SMN become free lot, I will lot on them, since I'm working on SMN to be my next high level.

I Finally Did It!!

Before you assume, no I did not beat Maat. I figured trying Maat my
first day back from a hiatus would not be beneficial. May put me in a
bad mood and I would log off game. Let me smooth my way back into the
groove first.
So I get on and decided to try COP 2-5 again. I got Lordkaosu,
Kirinkage, another LS mate named Gunrock. The 4 of us needed the win.
LS mate Arisonsbaby joined us as a WHM. We needed a 6th person now. I
hate this mission and a lot of people hate it too. Thus very few
people will be willing to help.
The 5 of us make it to Tavnazian Safehold. I send out help tells. My
friend Envoy was a jerk to me again. Asked him to make a shout for me
and he had to be rude. Anyway, I was getting discouraged becausebI
couldn't find anyone. I went to Valor Kingdom and Stormys Knights LS
looking for help. They both were near empty. I was getting more
disheartened by the moment.
Arisonsbaby became the winner though. She got her friend Darkscyther
to help us. So here's our party set up: me-RDM, AB-WHM, Dark-RDM,
Kirin-PLD, LK-NIN, Gun-NIN. Not bad. So we run to Riverne-StA-01
(however you spell it).
We had to farm 2 giant scales before we were able to get to fight
arena. The 4 of us who needed fight had to get into fight arena and
get our cutscene and then run away. This wa way we could get full time
for fight. We tried 2 strategies.
1st strategy: Each of healers took one Tank. Each Tank took one
Memmet. Let's say thia didn't work very well. I was catching a lot of
hate casting cure II. So my little team died. Then it was Gun's team
then Kirin's. Kirin is super tank!
2nd strategy: This strategy was much like the one we tried in the
past. However our party make up were different. So Gun kitedb2 memmets
while the other tanks worked on one. I stayedbin middle healing Gun an
when my MP ran I switched places with Dark. By this time, they were
done with first memmet and they retrieved another one from Gun. When
my MP came back I enfeebled the 2nd memmet and and healed at timrs.
Gun ended up fighting he 3rd memmet. Dark started to run out of MP.
Gun died in battle, so Dark had to kite the 3rd memmet. The 2nd memmet
was dead and they grabbed 3rd from Dark. I continued to try and
enfeeble the last memmet. Then when the timer came back, I converted,
raised Gun and went back to enfeeble. Man we finally killed the last
memmet.
My goodness!!! This mission was a pain in the ass. We finally beat it.
Yay!!! I totally forgot to take pics.
The mission dropped us in S Gustaberg, so he 4 of us who needed COP
went ahead and completed missions 3-1 and 3-2. At the end we made
plans to do mission 3-3 and 3-4 next Tuesday. I'm getting closer to
dreamlands dyna and diabolos avatar. Yay!!

Another Hiatus Due to Death

I am taking another hiatus. I will be gone for a week or so. My cousin has passed from cancer. Funeral is this week. I also have a house full of family.

It's nice to have see my family but not under these conditions. Take care and I'll see you next week some time.

Got on with my brother Kirinkage to get thru another Windy mission. It required us to go running thru multiple cities and to Delkfutt's Tower. It was a bit time consuming. Saw some old friends but yet agsin they acted as if they never seen me before. At the end I got some gil and Rank 4. Six more ranks to go.

After mission we were a bit nored so we decided to levrl our NPCs. I haven't really leveled Romi in a minute. He's currently level 33. We ended up going to Garliage Citadel's basement. We took on bats, beetles and pots. We did well but Romi didn't level. Oh well.

Rewards of Fame...Part 4

Today was the big day. The fight I've been slaving hard for. Yay!!!

So I get on game and the people who said they were gonna help weren't on and /or AFK. My brother did tell me that our friend Kakida wanted to help. So I sent him a tell. He was down to help. He's never done an avatar fight before and anxious to get avatars for his own SMN. So I get him to go to Norg to get his tuning fork.

My thing was how was I going to get to Yhoator since it was beastmen owned and I don't have the OP out there. I just decided to Op to Yhutunga instead and grab a chocobo from Norg. Thankfully Norg is close to the OP.

I meet Kakida out there. We begin the trek out to Yhoator. As we were riding Ferrin came on. I was talking to him and lost sight of Kakida. I was massively lost by time Terry logged on. I probably never mentioned this before, I hate traveling thru Yhutunga! She was going to ride out to help me find my way but I made it to Kakida without her help.

When we got into Yhoator, the trek was easier. Yhoator is not so bad to travel thru. I made it to the Temple of Ufflepeish. Ferrin and Terry were there wsiting for us. Kakida was kicked off his chocobo do he had to walk the rest of the way to the temple.

So everyone is in party snd Terry and Ferrin told us that Kakida and I should stay back by crystal during fight. That we shouldn't help with the fight. Thry wanted to duo Leviathan. We said okay, but I said I was going to come up to take pics of the fight and Leviathan. They said as long as I don't cast any magic on them while thry were fighting.

We get to cloister of water in the Den of Rancor. We sit heal and refresh up befote we enter. Then were entered tge fight. We mske our way p the trail towsrds Leviathan. Kakida and I stood some paces back so not to be involved but we get to see. I take pics. At one point Terry ran past us and Leviathan was following her. She ran bavk to fighting area. The Leviathan casted Tidal Wave. I had stoneskin up and I was not effected. But Kakida who had his shadows up was hit for over 300 exp. Damn stoneskin is the shit! Ferrin and Terry defeated Levi. She tele'd us to Mea. I rrpatriated to Windy so I could OP to Yhutunga sgsin do I can head to Norg. I wanted to finish quest and get Leviathan. I got him, yay!!!

I have some time on game so I decided to go try out Leviathan. I figured I'd go to Bubirimo Pennisula and FOV while trying him out. I OP and took a page out of the book. The 1st page. So I took out Levi (my new nickname for him) on first mob.

Did 2 more mobs before Kakida joined me. We ended up doing 2 1/2 pages for FOV. He died on the 3rd and we called it a night.

Infamous Fame

So I get on with the intention of fighting the old man. That was not to be since when I log on Darksday just ended. Bah. Just his luck. I would've kicked his ass today. I have pent up rage at the old man. Also I am judt tired of farming testimonies. Do what to do since I am now on the the game?

So I put up my dyamis money up on my bazaar. I figure I'd chill in the Flea Market in Rolanberry Fields. I was chatting with Lordkaosu when I decided to go farm for yag necklaces. We were talking about avatar fights and boy do I want my avatars. I am close to getting Leviathan. So I figure I'd finish off off my Tenshodo fame. LK said he'd help with fight in 2 days. So that was all the inspiration I needed to finish off the necklaces tonight.

Before I left Jeuno I checked how much the chic in Tenshodo was selling rice balls to me for. She was selling them for 161 gil. Per the fame guide, that put me close to level 4 fsme for Tenshodo. I ran back to Windy and changed to my SMN becsuse fighting 2 yags at once us sweetness. I then run iff ro Giddeus to annihilate the yags and steal all their necklaces. I had dome cokpetition though. There were 3 other folks in here trying to steal my necklaces. I had carby tho. What I couldn't reach, I sent carby after. We are an effective team. I got at least 16 necklaces when Carby made a bad pull. We were in a section where yags were easy prey to my 23. Carby linked 4 yags. Instead of making a direct path he ran anbodd path. So I died. So did Carby & Shiva.

So i had to HP back to Windy sinceno one was around to raise me. I traded in my necklaces and went to Jeuno ro check my fame. Chic sold me rice balls for 160. Hot damn! The guide said that was level 4 fame. So I run back to Windy and changed to me RDM. I then OP to Yhutungha Jungle so I can run to Norg to at least start quest and get tuning fork. I make it to Norg quickly found he Tatu of interest. It told me that his body hurts all over and to leave it alome. WTF!!! I tried it again. I get the same nonsense. So I went to look for the fame guy in Norg. Then I spoke to him. He told me I'm still level 3. WTF!! The fame guide lied to me! So now I have to go hunt more necklaces before Wed. I hope I can grt it by then. I'll try and go RDM tomorrow.

I hate hunting for fame. Good thing I learned is that as I increase my Windy fame my Kazham fame will grow. So getting Ifrit is not as bad as I thought.

Die-And-Miss

Today I get on to do Dynamis. Haven't done it a while. There were multiple reaaons but I can give you 2. First is I was out of town for the holidays. And second, the last time I was available to do dynamis, the were doimg Dreamlands and I don't have access as of yet.

So tonight's dynamis was Jeuno. This where I can grt my Relic pants or feet. Can't remember which one.When I get there I am put in the BLM party to refresh them. It can be boring but it can be very difficult. Where's the difficulty, you ask? I'll let you figure it out later.

So we enter the zone and we are staryimg up the fighting i habe set my scedule of refreshing as how my party list is. I exclude Clinpachi because he's a SCH. Frizzlefry was a BLM tonight too. So as we go thru the zone, my scedule is working very wellbuntil the following. Frizzlefry keeps disappearing. Then another of the BLM disappears. This throws my scedule out of whack. At some point I was running around looking for them. Then I eventually gave up that idea. I put them back in schedule when they appeared again.

During the run RDM dropped. I bid 10 points for them. I lost to another member who bid 15. Oh well, next time. I died 3 times too. All in all, tonight's rub was pretty good coming back from a long hiatus. Now ask me to party on my RDM. It has literally neen months that I've really partied with my RDM.

A Small Accomplishment

After my whole day sleeping, I got on game around 6 pm to do Windy missions. Today was the day that Kirinkage and myself took out the dragon again. So I am in Jeuno when I logged in. I had to make my way back to Windy to talk to a Taru in Heaven's Tower. I head to the Port to catch the airship. I am lucky. Th ship is supposed to arrive in 1 minute.
When I arrive in Windy, I changed to my WHM so I can Tele-Hola for the next leg. I run to Tower to speak w/ the little Taru. I then met up with Kirin. I tele'd us to Latheine. We caught a chocobo and rode off to the kingdom of my birth. I went to Windy's consulate and met up with an old friend, Lion. She didn't remember me though. Nearly brought tears to my eyes. We went thru a lot together when I was living in San d'Oria. I also went to see another old friend, halver. He didn't reconize me either. Unlike Lion who wished me luck, he insulted me. He must've been blind and called me a fur-ridden creature. I'm Elvaan!!! How rude. Didn't realize he was such an ass. Anyway, We were told to go to Ghelsba and take out an Orc.
Kirin and I get to Ghelsba fine. We are making our way to find the Orc when I fell ito the river. I was stuck in this river for 10 mins before I beckoned for help. A fellow LS mate Lordbrax decided to come to my rescue. By time he got to Ghelsba, I found my way out. He stayed to help us find the Orc. We had to run back to San D to report back to the consule. On t he way out Lordb attracted more than a dozen Orcs. Kirin & I went to help him out. It was fun. 3 against 12 or more was unfair, but we were mightier.
In San D, Kirin and I discussed how we were going to get to Bastok. Lordb offered to tele-dem us. He came out as a BLM and escorted us thru a quick route to Bastok. When were got into Gustaberg, he said he had to go. We thanked him for his help. So we run to the Windy consulate in Bastok. Then we were sent to go fight a dragon in Palborough Mines.

We run to the Mines and find our way to the fight arena. We wished each other luck. We've never taken on this dragon with just the 2 of us. I only had Protect to use to buff. We go and fight. I slept the dragon and we took care of the Evil Eye. Then we went after the dragon. It was a very close fight, but we made it. We finished the fight without any death. We took the quick route back to Bastok, on boat thru Zehrun Mines, so we can report back to the consule.

We spoke to the homesick Taru and warped to Windy.
We report back to Taru in the Tower. She granted us Rank 3 and gave us 3k gil. Yay!
I then ran to gate guard and gave him some crystals. Then I went to Mithra chick and started mission 3-1.

Aaah Just To Talk To Folks

So in missing Vana'diel I decided to update FFXI on my father's computer. I know I wouldn't be doing too much playing since I am not good with the keyboard mouse combination. I just wanted to get on & say hello to everyone.

The update took 2 hours....

So when I got on finally, I realized that I was still on the BLM job. I changed back to RDM. Not like I was going to be able to do any test farming. So I got to chat with everyone in my LS and in my friends list. I missed everyone. It's funny that I've never met these people in real life, but they are cool enough to make me want to get on game. I really don't have anyone on the game that I can't stand.

Being away from the game makes me feel like I am so way behind everyone. Everyone's doing Sky and other end game events & I can't join in. Irritates me, but what can I do? That man won't die for me and I can't get people together to do COP 2-5 thru 4-1. I also need to do fight in Quicksand Caves for Sky access. So I can't say it makes me feel behind, but that I am behind.

So I change my job and decided to clean up my mog safe, inventory, etc. I had a quest item on me so I went to get this quest done. I put some items on AH.

I sold some stuff to some NPCs. I also bought 3 Bonanza Marbles. I am going to get 7 more. I just didn't have any room for them on me. I get back to my mog house and found out my Locker lease has expired. I usually give like 5 to 6 months (Real Time) worth of Bronze coins to my moogle.

Once again, Windy has not gotten Qufim or Valkrum Dunes OP. This is really irritating. I hate having to go to Whitegate to get to Jeuno & Tele-holla to get to Dunes to get to Selbina & change jobs and gear. I need to start partying out in Qufim & Dunes with my DRG, SMN, or what have you. It's not like I'm going to make any difference anyhow.

Decent Challenges All The Way

I finally got on game. It's a good long time that I've gotten on the game. I missed everyone.

So what to do? It was Watersday when I got on the game. So I decided I'd wait out for Darksday to try Maat again. So I decided to head into Rolanberry Fields to sell these 3 Tuku Whiteshells. Just as I got comfortable in the flee market there, my shells sold. So I ran to the auction house to get potions for fight. I then went back to my mog house and waited it out. My moogle was going crazy after a while. He was just spinning in circles for an hour. Lol. Needless to say I went to fight Maat. I'm 0/10 now & I'm pissed off. I am tired of hunting for tests and failing fights. Just annoyed as hell.

So I'm back in Windy. So what to do? I don't want to play RDM and I don't have enough fame for my SMN. I might as well level some of my subs per requests of players. So I messed with BLM again. I change into my level 1 gear and headed out to E Sarutabaruta to fight. I did 3 FOV's and I leveled 3 times to level 7. I didn't touch any easy prey. I annihilated all Decent Challenges. I almost died twice, but I still knocked it out. I say I did very well on my own. GO TK!!!!!

On to some sad business. I am leaving to spend the holidays with my father. So I will not be on game until the new year. I have the game on my dad's computer, but I doubt I'll have time to play the game. So I am bidding everyone a Happy Holidays and a Great New Year. I hope to see everyone in the New Year.

Yeah I'm Slacking

Work has really kept me busy lately. It's budget and end of year season. However, as I think back, work wasn't this crazy this time of year last year. I believe that's a good way to say that business is good for my company but not good for me. So I haven't had the moxy to get online.

So I got on on Friday to help Stormghost with his AF pants in Garlaige. It was me, Kakida, Stormghost, Kirinkage & Abway. Haven't partied with them in a while. It was fun. Took us like 2-3 hrs to get it. Abway was being herself and told a little Taru off. I love Abs. She's so much fun.

When I got on, it was the very end of Darksday so I didn't get to fight the old man. After I finished helping Storm, I logged off. Didn't want to wait around for Darksday again. Just felt tired. Been working a lot.

What Is Synergy?

Synergy is an advanced form of synthesis wherein up to six players, each with unique skills, cooperate to create a single item via an apparatus called the "synergy furnace."

Synergy Furnaces
Communal synergy furnaces have been made available in certain cities, and access to them will be granted to players who have completed the quest offered by the Metalworks NPC "Hildolf."

Players who have advanced their synergy skill level to five or above will become eligible to undertake another quest offered by the Bastok Mines NPC "Selliste." Completing this quest will earn you access to an item that allows the summoning of a private furnace for use in field areas.

Synergy and Crafting Skill
Synergy skill determines your ability to safely handle synergy furnaces, and can be raised by applying synergy techniques to manipulate elemental concentration levels inside the furnace. Proficiency in these techniques, too, can be raised to a degree corresponding to your synergy skill level. We recommend all players prioritize improving their skill, because when it comes to synergy, experience is synonymous with safety.
*For this version, the synergy skill level cap will be set at 50.
*There are no guild tests associated with synergy.

Certain synergy recipes demand expertise in specific crafting disciplines, but the character depositing the ingredients need not possess any. Synergy will be possible so long as a participating party member possesses the requisite skill in question.

Synergizing via a Communal Furnace
1. Obtain the "synergy crucible" key item.
The synergy crucible serves as the receptacle for different varieties of elemental "fewell," the source of power for the synergy process. Characters need only acquire the crucible once by completing the aforementioned quest offered by the NPC Hildolf.

2. Prepare ingredients for the recipe.
Recipes corresponding to a character's synergy skill level can be learned by talking to a "Synergy Engineer" NPC.

3. Recruit party members.
Synergy is a joint activity that requires the cooperation of other players. The party leader should seek fellow synergists with the right skills needed for a particular recipe and invite them to join a party.

4. Check your synergy crucible's fewell supply.
Check your synergy crucible's current supply of elemental fewell by either examining the synergy furnace prior to depositing the ingredients, or by speaking with a synergy engineer. If required, synergy engineers can replenish your store in exchange for gil. Alternatively, it is also possible to directly replenish the crucible using either crystals or the new synthesizable item version of fewell (alchemy skill required).

Depositing such items directly into the furnace will affect only the fewell supply of the character whose synergy crucible is currently installed.

5. Claim usage of a synergy furnace.
To use a communal synergy furnace, you must first lay claim by examining it. At this point, you will be allocated a period of time to deposit the ingredients and commence the synergy process. When this has been done, your group will have exclusive access to the furnace until the synergy process is complete. *Private synergy furnaces summoned using the aforementioned item can be used only by you and your party members.

6. Deposit the ingredients.
Only the claim-holding character may deposit ingredients into the furnace. Similarly, at the conclusion of synergy, the resultant product will be obtainable only by that character. While it is possible to attempt synergy at a level above your own capacity, keep in mind that the risk of failure will increase proportionally.

7. Operate the furnace.
Now comes the most invigorating and rewarding part of the process: the operation of the synergy furnace itself. Throughout the course of synergy, players must keep a close eye on the furnace's readings and skillfully manage the parameters listed below. Seamless teamwork and timely application of synergy techniques are the keys to success.

* Elemental balance
Burning fewell will unleash the power of the elements (fire, ice, wind, earth, lightning, water, light, and dark) into the belly of the furnace. Approach the elemental balance dictated by the synergy recipe you are following, and watch as your desired item takes form.
* Impurity ratio
An unfortunate side effect of fewell combustion is the introduction of dangerous impurities to the mix. A high ratio will increase the likelihood of an explosion.
* Internal pressure
Pressure within the furnace will build as the synergy process continues, rendering any explosions that may occur even more damaging.
* Durability
A potent energy field within the furnace serves to keep the elemental maelstrom in check, but it cannot be sustained indefinitely. Should its durability reach zero, no explosion will occur, but the reaction will fizzle and your synergy attempt will end in failure.

Tricks of the Trade
Skillful application of the techniques below will ensure that your synergistic exploits remain undeterred by explosions or failed reactions.

* View furnace readings
Compare current elemental balance with objectives, and monitor pressure and impurities.
* Feed fewell
Deposit fewell into the furnace to increase elemental strength.
* Thwack furnace
Apply a time-honored (if low-efficiency) method to ward off potential accidents.
* Operate pressure handle
Consume dark fewell to lower furnace pressure.
* Operate safety lever
Consume dark fewell to cleanse furnace of impurities.
* Repair furnace
Consume light fewell to increase furnace durability.
* Recycle strewn fewell
Render strewn fewell into a reclaimable state, increasing the amount of reclaimable cinder.

Players can hone their proficiency in the above techniques by receiving training from a synergy engineer.
Certain items and equipment will also unlock the ability to use otherwise unavailable synergy techniques.

*Certain synergy techniques will be introduced in future version updates.

Potential Complications
In the hands of the untrained, synergy may prove to be a painful exercise. If left unchecked, the swelling of elemental forces and the accumulation of impurities inside the furnace will lead to explosions and leakages. An explosion inflicts considerable damage on both the furnace and participating synergists, and ultimately shortens the time available to you and your and comrades for the synergy attempt. Such complications can be averted by improving your synergy prowess and applying the knowledge and techniques you have acquired to the fullest extent.

Completing the Process
Should you succeed in approaching the required elemental balance, the synergy furnace will shimmer to signal your triumph. From this point, you may select "End synergy" to retrieve your finished product, or continue working to achieve even closer elemental equilibrium¡½and potentially a more desirable reward. Synergists are encouraged to keep a close eye on furnace durability as they ascertain the ideal time to conclude the operation.

* Success!
The successfully synergized product will be entrusted to the supplier of ingredients, while all participants will be awarded with "cinders," a synergy by-product. Cinder acts as points that can be accumulated and traded to synergy engineers in exchange for items that will aid you in your synergistic endeavors.
* Failure...?
Should your reaction fail, any fewell consumed will be lost forever, and no cinder may be obtained. All is not lost, however¡½your precious ingredients will remain intact, allowing you to make another attempt provided your fewell reserves permit.
* The Joys of Synergy
Synergy will play a central role in the Evolith system by allowing players to add and remove both evolith-holding apertures and evolith itself to their equipment. There also exist a host of new items that can be had exclusively through synergy.

What Is Evolith?

Long ignored by the populace of Vana'diel, the ancient stones known as evolith each contain unique powers that adventurers may now harness to enhance and customize their equipment.

Evolith-capable Equipment
In order to reap its benefits, evolith must be embedded into apertures¡½slots in equipment capable of housing these stones. Broadly speaking, there are two categories of equipment for which this will be possible:

* Specialized equipment
A new set of equipment especially suited for evolith enhancement has been introduced. Available only through certain synergy recipes, these will support high-powered evolith unusable with standard equipment.
* Standard equipment
A wide range of existing items may also be rendered evolith-compatible if outfitted with apertures through a specific synergy process. Players may check whether or not a given item supports this process by trading it to a synergy engineer.

Evolith 101
Adventurers may enhance their equipment with evolith through the following procedure:

1. Acquire evolith
- Evolith can be obtained by completing new NM hunting regimes accessible from the "Hunt Registries" that have been newly introduced to certain areas.

2. Prepare your equipment
- Follow a specific synergy recipe to outfit your equipment with evolith apertures (up to three, depending on the item). Note that each aperture will have its own shape, size, and elemental affinity.
- Similar to augmented items, etching evolith slots into a piece of equipment will render it untradeable and unauctionable.

3. Confirm compatibility
- Ensure that the aperture is of the same shape and elemental affinity, and is large enough to hold the piece of evolith you intend to embed.

4. Attach evolith
- Evolith may be attached to a compatible piece of equipment via synergy.
- It is possible to outfit a piece of equipment with one piece of evolith for each aperture it contains.

Evolith Replacement and Aperture Removal
Players may replace an attached piece of evolith with one offering different benefits by conducting synergy with the equipment and the newly-desired evolith. It is also possible to remove evolith apertures entirely via synergy with a dedicated item, thereby returning the equipment to its original state.
Note that in both cases, the previously attached piece of evolith will be lost.

Corrected Issues

An issue with the quest "Songbirds in a Snowstorm" in which a cut scene did not proceed properly has been addressed.

An issue with a sound effect in the quest "Blood of Heroes" has been addressed.

An issue in which the merit point information displayed under the status section of the main menu did not display properly has been addressed.

An issue in which the following notorious monsters did not begin combat properly has been addressed:
Lihko / Blighting Brand / Trembler Tabitha / Bedrock Barry / Olgoi-Khorkhoi

An issue in the mission "Enemy of the Empire (I)" in which the list of monsters whose images must be acquired would change randomly has been addressed.

An issue in which using the soul plate image of a Lode Golem with a soul reflector would call forth an unrelated monster has been addressed.

Slaying the battlefield monsters in the mission "Battaru Royale" will no longer incur Fomor hate.

A graphical issue in the battlefield for "Project: Shantottofication" has been addressed.

An issue with the MMM Aquatic Depopulation Team in which victorious players would not be taken to the reward room has been addressed.

An issue in which the monster Ameretat did not use the ability "Vampiric Root" has been addressed.

English Version Only

The issue wherein the sword skill bonus displayed in evolith help text was not being correctly displayed has been rectified.

The issue of inaccurate help text for items used in the "A Shantotto Ascension" add-on scenario mission, "That Which Curdles Blood," has been rectified.

Work Work Work

I haven't been on game for 7 days now. Not that I don't want to be. My job is trying to kill me with work. I even had to work through this weekend. I was hoping I would finish in time to do dynamis. Alas that was a no go. However the reports I got were both good and bad. I heard there were 11 deaths. I would certainly have leveled down to 69. I also heard the RDM hat dropped. That was great but I wouldn't have gotten it anyway.

I don't know when work will slow down. In middle of budgets right now. So all wish me luck. I hope to finish up soon so I can get back to the game.

Back to drowning in numbers and spreadsheets.

Campaign Ops

Got on without any plans. I was gonna try Maat again,. but darksday was no where around. I'm going to try windsday one time. Maybe my aero 3 would be a lot stronger?

I meet Frizzlefry in San D (past). I get my medal, sigil, and my ops mission. Frizzy ran off to Jugner (past) and I followed. I made over 6k in exp and got some drops from a Union that I joined. The drops were useless though. All in all, we went from Jugner -> Saramongue Champagne -> Battalia Downs. I went from having 2199 allied notes to 6199 allied notes.

This was Thanksgiving weekend. Hoped to accomplish a lot this weekend. I planned on doing so much. However, I spent most of my weekend farming tests. I am so tired of Maat, you don't understand. Anyway, let me recap the weekend.

Friday
I get on because I promised Frizzlefry help to get his Carbuncle's Mitt in Temple of Uggelipiah (however you spell it). When I logged on he was in a Manaburn party. So that was sunk. So I went to try Maat. He kicked my ass but I got him to 20%. I'm getting better & better at it. Then Lordkaosu, Badcmpy and Maryjanette helped me get a new testimony in Ugglypugly.

Died twice doing it. Damn Tonberries. I brought my prelate key and used it wrong door. We ended up killing the NM that was roaming around which then aggro'd the Tank behind the correct door. So we were able to get thru. The second tank gave me my testimony and we left.

Before getting the test, I did trio with Lordkaosu and Naquel. I came as SMN. I really should've came WHM or NIN. I did get a level on SMN tho. I am now 23.Yay....

Sunday
Tried Maat again. Got him to 10% this time. I swore I was going to beat him. You don't understand, I thought he was going down. My new strategy was going swimmingly. He casted something on me that wouldn't allow me to use any items and then nuked me. So I'm 0/8. Anyway, I decided to farm another test while I farm magic pot shards, beastmen & kindred seals. So Kirinkage & I went to Delkfutt Tower to accomplish this. We brought out our NPCs. Mine is set as Shield so of course he died. But he did level to 33. So now I'm able to change his job. Kirin's NPC leveled to 35. He plays with his NPC a lot more than me.

I couldn't do dynamis today either. They were doing Qufim. I don't have access to Dreamlands. So I logged off for the night.

Want to take the time to say thank you to you the fans for keeping up with my blog. It is now 172 posts since I started. My have the time flown.

I am thankful to all my friends on Siren. Without their support and friendship I would probably given up on the game a long time ago.

I am thankful to the my best Linkshell, ClanBelmont. They make you want to achieve more. They push you to do better. Now all they need to do is come to my house and beat Maat for me, lol.

I am thankful to my dynamis Linkshell, ProclaimedInsanity. They allow me to run with them and they let me get my first piece of relic armor even tho I'm not level 75.

My Duh Duh Duh Moment

I get on the game early since I got home early from work. Thank you Thanksgiving holiday. I would have to get off by 8 pm anyway. So I get on the game and head to Jeuno to wait for darksday to arrive. I had an hour to kill. So I started to chat in my LS. Naquel asked if I could PL his party. I told him that I'm not leaving the Jeuno area. He said they were in Saramonge Champaign (however you spell it).

I meet them and powerlevel them for an hour. PL'ing is very boring. I was just waiting until it turned Darksday. So when it turned to time, I bid them farewell. I run back to Jeuno. Ran to mog house to make sure I got all my food from mog safe. I then make my way to Ru'Lude Gardens (however you spell it) to talk to the old man. I trade him my RDM test and he warps me to Palborough Mines BCNM area Waugshroom Shrine. This is where I had my Duh Duh Duh moment.

So I am looking at a strategy on my computer while I'm making sure I have all in my inventory. I saw that I had a BLM testimony in my inventory. So I said let me drop it. So I get to the point where I confirm the drop. I was scarcely paying attention and I did the unthinkable. I dropped my RDM testimony!!!!!!!! FUCK ME!!!! I couldn't believe that I did that. So I had to walk out of Palborough Mines and headed back to Windy.

I was so pissed with myself. I told my LS what happened and couple of friends, Badcmpy and Silveria else offered to help me get the test in Delkfutt Tower. Then when it didn't work, we went to Temple of Uggliepiah (Uglypugly to me). We get to the prelate door and couldn't open it. Then we formed an alliance who asked me if we could help them get the Carbuncle Mitts. I said sure if you can get us 2 RDM tests. So we get the doors open, then the first to Hover tanks both dropped testimonies. So Silveria and myself got them. Then we helped the other people with their Mitt fight. Then we warped home.

The Impatient BLM

Okay this was my goal/plan for tonight. I was to get on, get a testimony & try Maat again. I even got my brother to come help me. He's been a rare element on the game.

Anyway, so Kirinkage & myself went to catch the Airship to Jeuno so we can get to Delkfutt Tower in Qufim (Windy has not owned Qufim since we moved). My friend Titen asked if he could join us. I said sure. He met us at the Tower. We run in, Kirin took off in the wrong direction. So we had to wait for Kirin to catch back up to us. I use the elevator. I don't walk up. So we get really close to camp. As we pass the Doll standing at the bottom of the staircase, I didn't realize that I was still within aggro range when I casted Sneak. So I aggro'd the Doll, Titen slept it and then Kirin woke it up. Then it exploded & I died. Yeah.... So Titen left to come back to raise.

I'm raised, got to camp and rested until weakened state came off. I don't remember who pulled the pot, but it dropped testimony. I lotted for the testimony, Kirin passed on it. So I'm sitting regaining my MP and HP, then next you know I'm in Windy. Titen warped me!!! I check my inventory, "NO TESTIMONY!!!!!!!" Then in party chat Titen goes OMG. I'm like OMG you are right. He said I didn't lot for the testimony. I said I did immediately. I asked if he passed on it. Kirin, chimed in said I lotted and he passed.

Now Kirin & I are heading back to the Tower again. Then Titen rushing us. We have to take ship to get to Jeuno. We get there. Then my friend Demicus was going to join us. Once we met up with Titen in Tower, he leaves saying that we got help and he's going to Sky w/ his linkshell. Then after Titen leaves, Demi bailed too, he had a Nyzul run. So it was just Kirin & I.

We head to fight. We fought for 2 hours & no drop again. I called it a night. I was frustrated & tired.

OMG!!! .... 0/6

My bro bullied me on game last night to show a friend a Maat fight. So I get on to do the fight. I get my gear and items together. And head to the fight. I was so planning on just dying immediately. I wasn't going in to give it my all. I was just showing my friend Maat and the fight.

I go in, buff up a bit. I start the fight. Things were looking up. Maat was asleep and stayed asleep for 2 dispels, 1 bind and 1 gravity. Then I nuked him with an Aero 3. He woke up & couldn't move. He was still bound. OMG!!!! I nuked him again. He came back at me, I slept him again to put back up my buffs. Then I nuked him again. Then I bound him again and then silenced him. He was down to 50% of his health. And according to records he gives up when he gets to 25%. My Aero 3s were hitting for over 300 HP a shot. So the 3 that I casted already knocked him to 50% so all I needed was to hit him 3 more times, at least 2.

Now this is where the downfall came. While he was bound, his silence wore off. My sleep was not ready but almost ready because I was about to use it in 20 seconds, which was the time left to use. I was low on MP and was going to convert when I casted sleep. Do you want to know what happened? The S.O.B. put on chainspell & nuked me to death. I couldn't even cast a spell to silence him, sleep him or able to take an HP potion. So of course, my cute ass hit the mat. This time he did not Asurian Fist me. He was still bound.

I felt good about the fight though. My HP was managed well. I had 884/996 before he chainspelled. I would have finally beat him if he didn't chainspell. I'm psyched. I want another testimony really soon. I want to try while I still feel excited.

Old Friends

I hooked my PS3 to an ethernet connection to use. I found out everything is running and moving faster with the cable than wirelessly. Yes!!!! The update went smoother this way. I had to attempt the update 4 times. 3 times wireless and I lost connection. Anyway, I digress. I just wanted to let you know I'm back up and running.

I get on to farm my RDM testimony but instead I started to farm necklaces instead. My ls mate Crim suggested I solo the Ruby Quadav in Beadeaux for the drop. I was full set on doing so before I looked at the time. I had an hour to play because I need to AFK for 2 hours. So I went to farm necklaces. I head to Giddeus to farm.

I wasn't getting much drops as I hoped. I did run up on 3 NM's in there. I beat all 3, lol. They are low level so it wasn't much. I got another Aspir Knife & a Padana (something like that) Shield. One NM didn't drop a thing. In the end I only got 8 necklaces before I had to long out.

2 hours later....

I come back and my buddy Ghostdawg sought me out. I haven't played with him in eons. So I was able to get him to come help me get a test. So we meet up in Qufim. We get where we are going. He is still badass though. He came as SAM. So we kill 3 pots before test dropped. We killed 3 gigas and 2 bats. But he got some crafting supplies and I got some crystals. But it was really nice hanging with him. Unfortunately I can't do so until I get some jobs to 75, lol. He doesn't have any low level jobs. I left myself in Jeuno. I may try Maat the next time I go on.

Once again, I'm having technical difficulties. This time it's not my Cable Modem. This time is my PS3. Apparently, you can't get online if you can't connect to the Playstation Network. So my PS3 is not connecting to the Playstation Network.

How did I find out? I was playing a little on Saturday. I was planning to farm a testimony in Delkfutt Tower, so I OP'd to Jeuno after I put stuff up on AH in Whitegate. I get to Jeuno fine. When I decided to head into the mog house, my game locked up on me. I usually lock up when I use the Runic portals and occasionally dynamis zones. So I restarted my PS3, like usual.

Upon restart my PS3 stated some B******t about not connecting to the Playstation Network. I didn't really care, because I don't do anything on there. I proceed to restart FFXI but I get the error, "No Network Connection, Please check your connections are plugged in". WTF!!. I'm online on my laptop and my iPhone. I have a dual network in my house and both of them are up.

So I couldn't get on to do dyna on Sunday either. I'm about annoyed. I am going to get an extra long ethernet cable after work and see if that works.

Squeal!!! OMG I Got My First..........

I decided to farm necklaces a bit before dynamis today. I log on and get ready to farm, but my PS3 and my TV was not communicating. So I had to logoff and move my PS3 to my bedroom. I hate it in there. Too tempting, lol.

I get back on and my bro, Kirinkage, decided to come help me farm necklaces. By time my inventory was full, I gotten 28 necklaces. So we stopped. He logged off & I went to Whitegate to purchase 2 HQ staves & a Belt I've been hunting for. I then I got to Jeuno because I need to get airship to Bastok. So I checked my Tenshodo fame in Lower Jeuno. Yay it's level 3!! One more level to Leviathan. I still have to check Windy. I log off in Jeuno to go cook.

I get back in & take airship to Bastok. I get to the meeting area in B. Mines. I get the new linkshell for dyna; Proclaimed Insanity.

I am put in the Tank party. We go in & try to dominate the area. We were getting great drops. Then it happened. A Duelist Gloves dropped. I screamed. Mind you I was on Skype with some dyna folks. I sent Rucca a tell, bid in /l chat and screamed on Skype, lol. Just as I was screaming, another one dropped. OMG!!!!!!! So I was able to lot on the 1st one. I got it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My first RDM relic gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!! Can't wear it tho, but it gives me enough incentive to try Maat again. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it. My friends on Skype were laughing at me, lol. So I we continued and a lot more gear was dropping. It was a very good run. We got the win too. I had to leave for 11 pm to get ready for work.

This was a good frickin' run. This new ls may be very promising.
